metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2024 Posted April 15, 2024 Wow , this team has some fight in them
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 15, 2024 Author Posted April 15, 2024 Mets should honor a retired number or retire a new one every damn night!

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 15, 2024 Author Posted April 15, 2024 And here's to foot-first slides.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2024 Posted April 15, 2024 I still think Bader slid too early. This seems to be a trend I've noticed lately. You should be accelerating into the base on your slide ... or at least not decelerating so early.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 15, 2024 Author Posted April 15, 2024 He indeed might have slid early, but he got it done.Diaz really seems to be still searching for his better stuff, but he got it done and he got it done.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2024 Posted April 15, 2024 Chapman certainly has some legit beef on a couple of B/S calls. But he also has himself to blame: too many pitches, inattentive to runners, walks, and then coughing it up when the chips were all on the table.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2024 Posted April 15, 2024 Love the way this team has shown the ability to fight back. Fun!

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 18, 2024 Author Posted April 18, 2024 Chapman gets himself a two-game suspension over his beefing with the umpire. The funny thing is that, as bad as the ump was blowing it, he was blowing it both ways. It was a crazy sequence of pitches.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 That seems harsh. He was upset about some B/S calls (rightfully so in some cases) and blew off some steam.Unless he questioned the species of the ump's parentage (and even if he did) I find it odd to see this warranting a suspension.
