Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Not being used toa) starting IGTsor starting more than one in a row I almost forgot that today's was on me.Last game of the series vs these fuckers. Would be real nice to get both a 3-1 season series win while also knocking them down one more peg into last place. Two pitchers who signed decent sized FA contracts in the off-season only to then sit out the first 100 or so games are tonight's starters: Jose Quintana & Carlos Rondon
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 I feel a lot more confident about tonight than I did yesterday atthat present time. Or something.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 The pessimist in me is saying that Rondon will finally find his stuff and Quintana doesn't have any stuff to find. The optimist in me says Vientos and Alvarez are ready to show what a real power hitter can do in that bandbox. LGMLater
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 I expect Quintana to do well and Rodon has not been good
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Rodón is rocking the Francisco Álvarez cleavage look.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Needs a triple play here
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Doug Eddings helping us more than Mark Vientos.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Fortunate that was only 2 runs
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Ironically, McNeil might have gotten the runner had he let that ball drop in, played it on a hop, and fired home for the force.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 McNeil saved our baconMaybe you do play Baty against leftiesVientos froze
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2023 Author Posted July 26, 2023 Vientos had a quartet of choices to go with that ball and chose the worst of the four.If a Yanqui fielder slipped on the Shea turf the way McNeal did just there Steinbrenner would be filing protests with the league office.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2023 Author Posted July 26, 2023 Hey look, SNY has figured out that you can conduct an in-game interview without shrinking the game itself!!!Do you suppose there's any way they could teach ESPN how they do it?

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Radon looks more shook up than Jeff
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Swinging at that first pitch makes double-plays hap.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2023 Author Posted July 26, 2023 The defensive downgrade from Escobar/Guillorme/McNeal to Baty/Vientos is sizable.
