aka: 69% of the HRs in 64% of the PAs

"At the current pace, how many Alvarez PAs would it take to pass Pete?" sounds like a High School Algebra problem.

Since April 23, the night Alvarez hit his first home run of 2023, Alvarez has outhomered Alonso, 18 to 16.

The last Met who wasn't Pete Alonso to lead the Mets in HRs was Michael Conforto, with 28 in 2018. Hard to fathom anybody's in theoretical reach of the Polar Bear.

I was hoping that Pete's ball would get itself into the corner and, with McNeal running, hopefully score two.
