It was a good play by Baty. You have to make the runner commit. Rosario was freezing as if to turn around.



The problem is that Peterson burned himself out on the at-bat with Harris and he hung everything after that. It would have been a good time for a pitching change after the play at the plate.



Hindsight, of course. But Peterson is good.

The Mets really should have taken a page out of the Yankees playbook tonight and done the math - Fried + Peterson + Rain = Sorry, no game!

I'm not sure what that would have availed them in Game One of a weekend series. Wouldn't Saturday or Sunday just end up getting turned into Fried-day when the game was made up with a doubleheader?

I don't know, I think I'd rather they feel they can beat anyone at any

time in rain or snow or sleet or hail so Let's Play Ball!

I'm not sure, doesn't the home team have discretion as to when the doubleheader is, ie August?

So for the 3 games (as of now) against the Braves: Peterson, Megill, and Butto.

For the 3 games against the Tigers: Scherzer, Senga, Verlander.
