kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Good job by Butto as he exits in the 6th.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 16, 2023 Author Posted April 16, 2023 Yeah, fortune smiled a bit on Butto Butto Golly, but he did a good job grinding.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Escobar hasn't hit his weight this year, but his defense remains solid. Nice play on a contact play with the infield in to cut down the potential tying run at the plate. At the end of 6, it is still 2-1 Mets.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 16, 2023 Author Posted April 16, 2023 Jeff McNeil can't buy a break, but that swinging strike call was boochit.
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Love the ad behind home plate - "The official injury attorneys of the Oakland Athletics."Do the A's sue a lot of folks over injuries?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Is there a particular reason why Marte hasn't been running hard today? Once earlier and then again on the GiDP ball.
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Curtiss not fooling anyone and gives up the lead.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 You could almost feel this coming
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Today for Curtiss the extra S is for Suck.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Buck's bullpen management is pathetic. This game counts as much as tomorrow's.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 It's up to the heart of the order to bring some 9th inning magic.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Well, preventing the insurance run was a thing. Now we'll find out how big a thing.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 16, 2023 Author Posted April 16, 2023 Well, you can't say the no-doubles defense didn't work there.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Lindor smoked that ball, but a nice diving play by the A's @B (Diaz) robs himPete has his back with a monster blast to center. Game tied t 3.

The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 The Lacastro moment as he pinch runs for Cahna as the go ahead run and easily steals second to get into scoring position.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Chance for McNeil to find his strike and put the Mets on top.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 16, 2023 Author Posted April 16, 2023 I like to think a foul back to the screen can be a sac fly here.

The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 3 consecutive walks to load the bases following the Alonso blast. That' it for the A's closer, Jimenez. Ecobar to face the lefty Moll with the bases juiced. I would love a hit, but I would settle for a deep sac fly.
