Edgy MD Site Manager Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 It's weird but I love the fact that we have a catch-all Omar Minaya thread to exchange all Omar Minaya-related information throughout the year. How much do you think we should expect?

Yes, he's moving to the (local) MFYs, but to a position that shouldn't draw much attention to anything specific that he does. He'll be an advisor, but won't be the one who pulls the trigger on any moves they make. Of course, if they make a trade that blows up in their faces, "insider" reporters will be told that the move was made based on Omar's advice.Later

kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted January 6, 2023 Author Posted January 6, 2023 I just read his https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omar_MinayaWiki Page, he's had a lot of jobs!I didn't recall this one, "On January 6, 2009, President George W. Bush appointed Minaya to a position on his Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. Minaya's term lasted 16 months. As stated by mlb.com writer Anthony DiComo, "the council serves as a catalyst to promote health and fitness through participationin physical activity and sports.""Ever since I was a young boy in The Dominican I dreamed of this day.." #ykwis
