The lefty hitting Japanese League outfielder Masataka Yoshida was mentioned in some stories about possible Mets Free Agent targets.

It they can't re-sign Nimmo, he seems to be a nice fit because of his high OBP.

Also- they didn't add Jake Mangum to the 40 man roster. They may feel Yoshida would be more major-league ready than Jake and will make a big effort to sign Yoshida.

Yoshida is not a centerfielder as far as I can tell. But that's a great BB/K ratio that should help him play here.
