I'm kind of surprised when I look at this, but Bassitt has a stronger track record than Carrasco. It's partially distorted by Carrasco's lost season in 2021, but it's not that close. He's almost of never had a bad season — not in the Arizona Fall League, not in college.



I still hold that I'm-not-gonna-report-when-I-test-positive thing against him.

I believe Bassitt wants his last best contract. Don't see him coming back to the Mets

I guess at $1.5 million it's worth bringing him back, but I hope they find someone better (someone who won't clog up the basepaths) between now and Opening Day.
