MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Before we were so rudely interrupted, the Metly things we were concerned about were:1) Adding another hitter (Kris Bryant?)2) Improving the back end of the rotation3) Maybe adding another bullpen arm4) How will Cano do?5) Jeff McNeil - play him, where? Trade him?6) How do the rookies look?7) How will Buck's managing style work?8) anything else? Now the fun begins, and we begin to get some answers.Later
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Re 3): they are definitely adding a LHP for the bullpen, perhaps Andrew Chafin. They are lefty-less so that needs to be addressed. Tim Britton has been advocating for Ryan Tepera (RHP).
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 (edited) Can I just say how happy I am to be scouring baseball sites for news rather than checking to see if Volodomyr Zelinsky is still alive? (As of this writing, he still is)They're stuck with Cano, regardless of how bad he is, unless Uncle Steve wants to eat like $40 million.Left Handed reliever is a must.I think a lot of guys will be signing short- or one-year deals just to get onto a team as quickly as possible.
