Lots of reports that former Giants GM Brian Sabean is the latest Mets POBO target. Did win a bunch of championships.

Hard to argue with the success he's had. I'm not sure if people look at the Giants organization as a distinct model, but maybe they should be trying to.

The Mets have clearly struck out with the Beanes and Epsteins - Sabean represents a strong winning record in the GM job, not much more you can ask for.
