Booby V used to say that the way to win championships was to split series with the good teams, and win 2/3 of those against the bottom feeders. We are struggling to beat the Pirates and Marlins of the world. It makes no difference if we are in the weakest division in baseball if we cant take advantage of it! Injuries aside, this team lacks a killler instinct that the great teams have: you gotta feast on the bottom-feeders. (I remember for years the Yankees routinely went 15-3 or better against the Orioles.)
