Szapucki kind of reminded me of Jacob deGrom there, in the way they've both held the opposition to six earned runs this season.

Edgy: it looks like the only 3 pitchers that could be called up (from the 40-man) are Y. Diaz; Stock; and, Tropeano. Is that right? I assume that Tarpley will be shifted to the 60-day because of his injury so that opens another spot.

With rehab assignments the only transactions today, there were, for once, no changes to the big league squad. It is curious to see Joneshwy Fargas "assigned" to a team whose season hasn't begun yet, and in fact a team in a league that hasn't yet debuted.



Look for that to change tomorrow, as more paperwork looms for the Mets than the prosecution of the Trump organization. Activations, pitcher shuffling, banishments, 60-Day assignments ... it'll all be there.

They are playing. They are not considered an official minor league, so games aren't shown on MiLB.com. But Amazing Avenue has started giving occasional game reports this week of the St. Lucie team in that league in their prospect reports.
