Kiwi Dork Signs Mets Deal

I don't know if I overlooked this posted elsewhere but the Mets signed RHP Elliot Johnstone, who was pitching for the Auckland club in the Australian League.



Interestingly he was coached there by DJ Carrasco and is pictured wearing a No. 77 Mets jersey I'll bet once belonged to DJ.

Auckland has a cool logo. A few of the teams do. The poster from down under who

has long disappeared sent me a Blue Sox cap years ago. He either remembered me

as having a giant mellon or a 'swelled head' because it's a size 8 and I could never

wears it but it's cool nonetheless. Baby blue with a dark brim. Very sharp.
