kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Looking for new and exciting challenges. Hmmmm?
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 I was hoping the same, but apparently he immediately said that he didn't want other work, and wants to just hang for a year. I think he would've been ideal as the Director of Ops dude.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2020 Author Posted November 18, 2020 Right, and sorry I thought this was this morning's news but see you mentioned ityesterday in the Heck thread. He was born in NY, wonder if he grew up a Mets fan.NYT article briefly mentions Mets and Phillies and stuff. Have to go back and search.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 I saw some speculation somewhere that Steve Cohen can get Theo to change his mind by offering him an ownership stake in the team. Apparently that's been Steve's MO at Point72 and Theo had expressed a desire to get that kind of a deal from the Cubs but was rebuffed.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 I'm here for that speculation.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Does Cohen have any eligible daughters to offer him?Later
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 More specifically, Theo talked about working with non-profits for a year or so, but also said he he looked forward to a "third chapter" in his baseball career.
