So I'm doing the DVR/catch-up thing ... so the game is now over two hours old but I'm still in bottom 3

Acuna bombed the 2nd pitch that Sandy Alcantara threw into the RF seats.

But then Miami HR'd back in the 2nd off Fried and tacked on 3 more for a 4-1 lead.

Acuna gets plunked in his second AB and wasn't happy about it, but two two-out Atlanta doubles later so he's probably over it.



4-3 Marlins end of 3 ... which is either new news to you or old news, I just figured we needed a thread for these games.

Why does Fox insist on having the fake crowd noise that loud? A real crowd wouldn't be that loud. We're not going to forget that there isn't anyone there with or without the artificial noise.

Travis went 3 for 3 with 4 Ribbies.

You just know, down deep in your heart, that he will win at least one post-season series MVP.

incredible catch by bellinger last night to rob a homer from tatis. it was a fucking laser beam too. i don't know how it didn't punch a hole through cody's glove... (note: i have no idea what the statcast metrics were on the ball. just going by eye)



it sucks because i'm all-in on san diego this year. i'd love to see them move on. they look fun, and wear cool uniforms.

That was a fantastic catch, especially b/c Bellinger mostly plays 1B. The reaction of the pitcher was... amusing? strange?... as he threw his glove with glee and then Machado clearly yelled "FANGOOO", or something like that, at the pitcher.

So the Braves closed things out with a 7-0 win and are now 5-0 in their sweep-sweep 2020 post-season.

They won four of their five games by shutout.



d'Arnaud had 17 more hits today (2 actually), he hit .600 for the series.

So Justin Turner got a hit tonight (RBI single) which made him the all-time leader in post-season hits as a Dodger. OK, so that's not nothing, but we all know that records like those are a result of ever expanding playoffs. Turner, however, was very aware of this before the fact and had barely reached 1st before he was asking for the ball.



I found this very odd.

Dodgers are batting around in the top of the 3rd, the Pads are on their 3rd pitcher of the inning (Dodgers also on their third) and the game, just now reaching bottom 3, is nearly an hour and a half old.
