OTOH, it's been reported that during the Mets covid interruption, none of the team's pitchers have been able to do any kind of warming up, practicing, soft-tossing, etc. Yesterday, they threw for the first time since the hiatus, so, perhaps, deGrom wasn't as ready as some of the other pitchers.
