It didn't matter but I agree with Gary about the decision to PH Dozier for Nimmo. Lefty/righty I understand but Dozier isn't very good and Nimmo excels at getting on baseball which was needed down 3. It worked out as the ump missed the call on 3-2.

I wondered if he'd PR right away. I think because Dozier wasn't the tying run, they were saving Hamilton in case he could run for someone else. (Idk who that "someone else" would have been. They opted against Alonso, and Hamilton may have scored had he run for Pete.)

Nimmo's stopping at 3d cost them a run and perhaps the game. I'm still surprised at Dom's failure to get the tying run in. Above it all, one minor leaguer after another and they lost.
