With Michael Conforto (the 1,000th Met overall) in right and David Peterson pitching (the projected 1,100th Met overall), tonight looms as the first time two Milestone Mets have played together.

100 Jimmie Schaffer 7/28/1965

200 Bill Sudakis 7/11/1972

300 Phil Mankowski 4/11/1980

400 Randy Milligan 9/12/1987

500 Pete Smith 4/5/1994

600 Lenny Harris 7/4/1998

700 Rey Sanchez 3/31/2003

800 Moises Alou 4/1/2007

900 Scott Hairston 4/1/2011

1000 Michael Conforto 7/24/2015

1100 David Peterson 7/28/2020 (projected)

Once Peterson becomes Met No. 1,100, the Met Median will fall between Pedro A. Martinez (No. 550; Met debut 6/14/1996) and Andy Tomberlin (No. 551; Met debut 6/17/1996).

That's nice. Here's to median Mets.

And here's to not working our way through the next 100 in a few years and an ocean of churn.

The Met Median now falls between Met No. 551, Andy Tomberlin, and Met No. 552 Carlos Baerga, who joined us on July 30, 1996.

When I first became a Mets fan, there had been fewer than 200 Mets.

I signed up some time after the 1971 season began, so it's likely that Jon Matlack (July 11, 1971) is the first Met over whom I have seniority.

When I became a Mets fan there weren't any players. There was just a team name.

I wonder how many Mets there were so far on 8/27/62, the genesis of my Mets-OCD.

Thanks, I was going there later when on a real screen. 45-3=42!! It was nice

of Ed Kranepool to wait for me, means a lot. *sniff*
