MLB Survey Question 9: Restructured Divisions

Major League Baseball has sent out a fan survey, asking fifteen questions. Let's make each of these a poll, so they can be voted on and discussed individually.



To ease the process of schedule-making, the current Division structure is abandoned and standings are based on new Division structures

Yes, that's what I think it means. And I strongly approve. I think the spring-training site idea is the best one I've heard, and I'd love to see it happen.

Not having looked it up, aren't most teams now in Arizona? Seems like the

Mets play the same handful of teams in Florida all spring.

There are 15 teams in the Cactus League and 15 in the Grapefruit League. The Mets, I think, only play the other East Coast teams during spring training, with perhaps a few exceptions. They don't go to the Gulf Coast sites.
