Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 3, 2019 Author Posted September 3, 2019 I take it back. Travis Taijeron is batting for Lowrie.Walk to TT. Danny Espinosa, team RBI leader, at the plate, first and third, one out.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 In defense of Ali, a favorite of mine from the spring, he's a defensive C and started the year in A ball so while he's the "woist", we'll see him in Port St. Lucie (if First Data Field hasn't fallen into the sea) in late February. The Syracuse Mets PBP guy is good.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 (edited) That flyout to RF was caught by Altherr at the fence (https://tunein.com/radio/Syracuse-Mets-Baseball-Network-s198289/?_branch_match_id=692898068113504646https://tunein.com/radio/Syracuse-Mets-Baseball-Network-s198289/?_branch_match_id=692898068113504646). Nice job by Nogosek in relief of Rubelow (who I'd never heard of).Nick Rumbelow*, he came up with the Yanx briefly in 2015 and was snagged off the Seattle roster earlier this season.* As in: "Arrrrrgh, is there nothing to drink aboard this ship, matey?" ... "Aye, there's some rum below" Edited September 3, 2019 by Guest
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 3, 2019 Author Posted September 3, 2019 Sure. He's also been pushed a bit.Espy walks and Krizan comes up with the baggies juiced.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 3, 2019 Author Posted September 3, 2019 TWO-RUN DOUBLE!!Edgy MD wrote:I take it back. Travis Taijeron is batting for Lowrie.Doesn't Lowrie need ABs? bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 (edited) Krizan comes through again. He'd be a nice extra bat off the bench for the rest of the month (if only they had a spot on the 40-man for him). You can hear one SWB fan chanting "Mets fans suck!" while many others chant "Lets Go Mets!". Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 3, 2019 Author Posted September 3, 2019 Tejada greets the new pitcher with a LINE DRIVE AND IT'S ROLLING ROLLING ROLLING!!Mets up 13-6 and still only ONE OUT! The Scrotum/Wilkes-Barre bullpen can do nothing! NOTHING!!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 3, 2019 Author Posted September 3, 2019 You can hear one SWB fan chanting "Mets fan suck!" while many others chant "Lets Go Mets!".I'm surprised Steve J. Rogers didn't let us know he was going to be there.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 3, 2019 Author Posted September 3, 2019 Higashioka, who started that disturbin' SWB rally with a solo homer leading off the seventh, hit another leading off the eighth. It's just one run, but an ominous one. The RRs get an additional guy on second and another huggin' third before Nogosek gets chased with none out.Relief in 2019! It's hell for everybody! Brooks P#unders on for the Mets!
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 13-10, bases loaded for SWB, only 1 out, lots of Red Robin coupons being given out with so many runs and hits.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 3, 2019 Author Posted September 3, 2019 Thirteen-ten! One out!! Bases-loaded!!! THAT'S THE FUCKING GO-AHEAD RUN AT THE PLATE!!!!YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE LET DILSON GO!!!!!
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 13-11 two outs, 1st and 3d, and here comes Eric Hanhold.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 3, 2019 Author Posted September 3, 2019 A foul-pop behind first base! Krizan pursues it!! BUT ALCANTARA CALLS HIM OFF!!! HE MAKES THE CATCH!!!!But the runner on third tries to score!! HE'S SAFE!!! IT'S 13-11!!!!POST-SEASON BASEBALL!!!!!(Eric Hanhold on for the Mets.)
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 3, 2019 Author Posted September 3, 2019 Holy shit! Higashiolka is up again!A single could tie it!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 3, 2019 Author Posted September 3, 2019 WILD PITCH!! IT'S 13-12!
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 OMG. Turns out that the crappy relievers we saw pitch for the Mets are crappy in AAA, too.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 3, 2019 Author Posted September 3, 2019 A two-run double by Erik Kratz gives the SWaBbies a 14-13 lead. SHUT UP!!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 3, 2019 Author Posted September 3, 2019 They go to the ninth with the Mets down by a run and bullpens drained. [CROSSOUT]Danny Colmobe (5.01 ERA) [/CROSSOUT] Ben Heller (0.90 ERA) on for the RailRiders.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 3, 2019 Author Posted September 3, 2019 Liriano pinch-hits for S'cuse and grounds out to first.Multiple-ring-owning Gregor Blanco on for the Mets.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 3, 2019 Author Posted September 3, 2019 Blanco whiffs! Top of the order for Arismendy Alcantara! Two out!!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 3, 2019 Author Posted September 3, 2019 A 4-3 putout. A disastrous heartbreak for the Mets!If you're going to get your jollies this post-season, it'll have to come at the big-league level.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 "Unfortunately it ends in heartbreak for the Mets"--says the fine Syracuse Mets PBP announcer. This leaves only Brooklyn alive (maybe Jed Lowrie can rehab there).
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 What a crazy-ass game. The one thing I remember about Ali Sanchez from yesterday's game is that he makes Charlie O'Brien look fast. He hit a bouncer up the middle that the second baseman dove, caught, stood up, bobbled, did the hokey pokey, and still threw him out by five steps.
