Thank you for apologizing for what this is doing to my family! BTW, I like beer.

It's Jose Urena v Corey Oswalt at Citi Field.
Oswalt is 3 and 3, 6.08, 1.35, 41 K in 60 IP, -0.6 WAR. Where do you see him in '19? Insurance at Syracuse? Not working for State Farm, although it's possible, but ready if needed? He pitched once against MIA, on August 11, giving up 3 ER in 6 IP which seems about right for him. He has given up HRs to Lewis Brinson and J.T. Riddle.

Stitches in The New York Post, is a gambling column and it says: "Marlins and Mets at Citi Field this weekend. Jose Urena’s won his last five, posting an ERA of 1.85. Mets give Corey Oswalt another look. 20 units on Miami." https://nypost.com/2018/09/27/jose-urena-will-shut-down-mets/
Urena is 8 and 12, 4.07, 1.17, 128 K in 168 IP, 0.9 WAR. He's the guy that drilled Acuna for being so good. Jay Bruce has hit 2 HR off Urena and Conforto is 7 for 16.

Here's a picture of Corey Oswalt that I took last Saturday at Nationals Park:

METS:
1. Brandon Nimmo (L) CF
2. Jeff McNeil (L) 2B
3. Michael Conforto (L) RF
4. Jay Bruce (L) 1B
5. Amed Rosario ® SS
6. Dominic Smith (L) LF
7. Todd Frazier ® 3B
8. Kevin Plawecki ® C
9. Corey Oswalt ® P

Marlins:
1. Miguel Rojas ® SS
2. Starlin Castro ® 2B
3. J.T. Realmuto ® C
4. Peter O'Brien ® 1B
5. Brian Anderson ® 3B
6. Lewis Brinson ® CF
7. Austin Dean ® LF
8. Magneuris Sierra (L) RF
9. Jose Urena ® P

Lugo and Gsellman have been "shut down" for the rest of the season.

A base hit would set a hard benchmark to match or beat!

To speed up the game, as soon as Sewald comes in a game give the other team a run and go from there.

I just realized that I added on an extra 365 days here.
Oh well.

Best first-pitch-swinging 5-3 ever?

Back to the game, have Frazier and Rosario mentally checked out? The relievers have a tough enough time without the IF blowing easy plays.

Like when I used go to any Caesar's Palace casino. I'd hand the guy by the door my wallet and say,"Take out whatever you think is fair".
About the game. The thrill is gone.

That's very funny.

SNY just ran a Free Shirt Friday ad for tonight. Hurry out, good
shirts still available.

Paul Sewald is now 0-13 as a big league pitcher. He should be glad nobody much pays attention to constantly shuttled middle relievers' won-lost records.
