Some good things happened to the pitching staff in 2017. And I'm one of them. Yeah, I was hit-and-miss, but I established myself as a big leaguer.

Now something good has to happen to me. I went 0-6 last year, which is most losses against no wins by any pitcher in Mets history. I've got to check something off in the win column. I've just got to. Will that happen in 2018? Hit me up and let me know!

Know where I'm from? Vegas? Know where I never want to go back to? VEGAS! That's why I hustle.

I suppose an '18 similar to '17 sounds reasonable, I'll throw in a nice drop
in that 4.5x ERA.

Really? I think he's demoted once Vargas is activated.

Maybe Rhame goes.

In any case, I don't see a lot from Paul Sewald. Will be a forgotten name by year's end.

Paul Sewald now at 0-12 on his big league career. Worst winless hole in MLB history?

Terry Felton: Where Sewald fears to tread. Or would if he'd ever heard of him.

Paul at 0-12 matches Bob L. Miller's 1962 and therefore Mets career launch (though he had pitched in the majors prior). Miller got off the schneid on the penultimate day of the inaugural season, defeating the Cubs in Chicago, 2-1. After being worn down by mounting questions regarding what it was like to always lose, Miller relished the chance to enter the clubhouse and greet reporters with hot takes on what it was like to finally win. Alas, none of the beat men traveled with the team on that last pit stop; they had all been dispatched by their editors to catch up with the Dodgers and Giants, who were battling for the pennant.

Should Sewald finally be in a mood to talk, chances are somebody named Tim will be around to take down his thoughts.

So, 0-16 is what we have to save him from. Maybe Mick can only put him in games with a one-run deficit until the end of the season.
