  2. So what are Woody's career numbers?
  3. Rockin' Doc wrote: had to work and didn't get to check in on the game. I can't imagine that.
  4. I can't get over that we are one Wagner BS away from 8-0. I like baseball. Must suck to have renounced being a Met fan only to have them get off to a great start this year.
  5. The last two games of the first Nats' series are the only two to go over three hours. (3:37, 3:33)
  6. Frayed Knot wrote: Only the Yanquis could be in a 6-2 game (4-2 until a minute ago) which is taking considerably longer than a 13-5 slug/walk-fest. They're in bottom 8 True. Though a 13-5 game in under 3 hours (2:44) has to be pretty rare.
  7. Bret Sabermetric wrote: ="Elster88"]Good IGT today, fellas. Glad you enjoyed it, Elster. I'll try to repeat my part for your future IGT pleasure. Duaner Sanchez closes it out. How Sweep It is. Believe it or not, I enjoy the back and forth with you Bret. Except for the parts where I go insane. You never got back to me on my last post directed to you.
  8. Sweepage. All right, bring on the major league teams.
  9. E-6. Dammit, Jose, it's hot out here.
  10. GameCast is cool though, right?
  11. At this point I think Willie is just doing this to be a prick. "What boneheaded move can I do today with the bullpen to pick a fight with the media?" Duaner on for the ninth.
  12. Pale Hose 13, Tigers 8 Brooklyn 13, Pittsburgh 5 Mets 13, Expos 4 Twins 8, B's 2 Marlins 9, Fathers 2 That's not baseball.
  13. Hernandez in at second, Woody to first, Delgado out. Victor in at left, Floyd out. Our two young stallions still in.
  14. seawolf17 wrote: Wow, Elster's right... the ESPN GameCast is way better. They totally f'ed it up last year, so I got addicted to the Sportsline version; but this one's neat. Looks like they rebuilt it from scratch; very fancy. The upper right corner says it's the Beta and there's a button for feedback right below. I left them some nice feedback. It even shows the path of the ball with each ball in play. Cute.
  15. Let's get this over with and get them back to New York. Nice rest tonight before Milwaukee and Atlanta and a west coast swing.
  16. Wright's up. Cross your fingers.
  17. Eischen's ERA is 19.29 on the year.
  18. If there was a mercy rule, I think the Nats would accept it at this point. Last year we gave Arizona a thorough beating and returned to Shea to lose an important series to Philly. Let's not do that again. 5 runs on 5 hits and 2 walks (1 intentional) Top 7TH B:0 S:0 O:0 Pitcher Change: Joey Eischen replaces Livan Hernandez, batting 9th. 19. Nah. 2 for Oliver. 2 for Julio. Especially now that we're up 7.
  20. Floyd is 4-14 (.286) with 0 HR, 2BB and 6K against Eischen.
  21. I'm liking ESPN Gamecast. There's a scrolling stat window. After Wright went to an 0-1 count, it gave me his career stats when the count is 0-1, then his stats against Washington this month, then his stats against LHP this year, then his career stats against Eischen.
  22. What's our current middle relief depth chart, assuming everyone is rested? Sanchez Heilman Oliver Bradford Julio ???
  23. Bret Sabermetric wrote: ="Elster88"]The change from the word "season" to "week" is not nearly significant as you are making it out to be. Yes, "Beltran hit 2 HRs this week" means just about the same as "Beltran hit 2 HRs this season." Same difference. You refuse to give this up don't you? Saying "Beltran looks relaxed this season" instead of saying "Beltran looks relaxed this week" when the season is 10 days old is not that big a change. To argue otherwise makes you look incredibly stupid. I'm just the messenger here. NOTE: I'm assuming a high SC in the quoted statement of yours.
