  1. The Braves are up 10-1 on the St. Louis... ...through 5.
  2. Two words can sum up the stats we just saw on the Red bullpen: "they" and "suck". No wonder they made that gawd-awful Kearns trade.
  3. Eardrums are overrated.
  4. Iubitul wrote: Lot's of good stuff coming from the booth tonight - Keith was definitely relishing talking about "clutch" hitting... They're at the top of their games today. Great stuff. Though I'd MUCH rather listen to Sterling's theatrics and have Waldman burst my eardrums and claw my brain.
  5. I'm on the money today.
  6. I think we first heard "Looper" out of JB at this park last year.
  7. LoDuca drops a foul pop leaning over the railing into the Red dugout. That runner got on base, and moved to second on a tapper. As Bradford gets pulled by Willie, LoDuca apologized to him. He also apologized to Pelfrey before for not blocking a wild pitch. What a nice man. I know Dunn and Junior are coming up, but did he really need to pull Bradford with a five run lead and two out? I guess if Dunn homers then it's a 3-run game.
  8. So how many Mets have hit grand slams in back to back games?
  9. More on Selma from Gary: His second start was a 13-K 10-inning shutout.
  10. My God. I was right the first time. What a fucking bomb.
  11. Am I the only one confused that LoDuca is being pitched around to get to Beltran with two outs? I guess because Beltran is .218 as a righty.
  12. Great bunt by Marrero. Hard and down the third base line.
  13. I'll take that out of Pelfrey. Every time.
  14. Top 7, Valentin bunting for a hit with a runner on first....pops it up, but instead of waiting for it to come down, Larue dives. After he missed he bats the ball sideways with his glove.
  15. Open memo to NL pitchers: Do not walk Jose Reyes.
  16. Never said he was a victim. I may have dripped a little too much sarcasm in my post.
  17. Iubitul wrote: ="Gwreck"]="Elster88"]When does he get out. It was a probation violation, so it was a 1 year sentence, dating from April. I think he can get out after 7 months, so November at the earliest. He's dead to me. I'm sure he's sorry that the substance abuse problem that has ruined his life is bothering you.
  18. Huh. Cotter was telling a story as LoDuca doubled down the line, so he just called the play. Not bad but he always sounds like he's yelling at me.
  19. 2 on, 2 out. 3-2 pitch. A 96 MPH fastball...Dunn was not close. Pelfrey earned a strong slap on the rear from his skipper.
  20. Gwreck wrote: Nice awkard moment when Keith notes that the '86 reunion at Shea is coming up in about a month. K: "Everybody's going to be there, except those coaching in the major leagues right now...Roger McDowell, he can't make it, he's the pitching coach for Atlanta....and Lee Mazilli, with the Yankees. K and G: [long awkward pause, as there's clearly another reason why someone else won't be there] When does he get out.
  21. SNY emitting a buzzing. Keith comments on it quietly.
  22. The Reds keep the team banners in the same order as the standings. Nice.
  23. The gophers are biting Milton.
  24. AFLAC: The only two Met pitchers to win their first and second (career) starts: Selma and Gentry. Keith says Selma taught him to throw the old Vaselineball.
  25. Have any of the American Idols not sucked?
