    Nevin's double was the quintessential excuse-me grounder over the first base bag.

    Nady't double hit the top of the wall in almost dead-center. If Floyd and Delgado get hot, and Wright, Beltran, Reyes, and Lo Duca play at this pace. And Nady does what he's been doing...we could put Kaz back at second and this team would be disgusting.

    Horrible turn by Perez, fell off the base as he was throwing, and [shortstop] didn't charge it in the first place. Bang-bang at first that Floyd wins. Shoulda been a DP. Maddux was coming off the mound on the hit, but after watching the play he kind of threw up his arm. Not a happy man. Of course the second through fifth hitters hit the piss out of the ball.

    Good graphic on Maddux. ERA under 2 through his first five starts. 5.78 since. Let's not trade for him.

    Delgado's 2 run single was a looper placed nicely.

    Pierre gets to Wright's ball very nicely in left-center to hold him to a single.

    Ball off the right field wall gets away from Jones, but Lo Duca was watching to see if it would be caught and was held by Acta. Probably the right call. Though he did do a triple take looking at the ball. Why don't players know how to run the bases? That's like the easiest part of the game.

    Not sure who Keith was talking about, I think it's Maddux, but he said if [pitcher] got pissed that players were trying to jerk home runs then he'd start breaking bats on purpose by throwing sinkers in on the hands.
