He just didnt show tonight. A Milledge double to lead off the third, and if the Mets are gonna make a comeback here, they better start now.
  2. Well, that was one of the worst Met half innings Ive ever seen. Olivers up in the pen as the Mets bat.
  3. I cant believe what I just saw! Pedro with a bases loaded balk--and it looked like he balked twice on the same play! He stopped twice---1st the crowd yelled balk and then he stopped again and the ump yelled it! And then Martinez hits another batter and Nunez hits a single that gets past Beltran in center and goes to the fence-- all baserunners score!!!!! 6-0 Phils
  4. And Martinez, with 2 strikes on him, plunks Rowand and another run scores. Cripes. Phils announcers are wondering why Pedro is not throwing the fast ball, then he does and its clocked at 86, and they say--oh, thats why. Hes got no fastball tonight.
  5. An infield single and steal by Rollins, and a line single by that pesky Chase Utley gives the phils the lead, 1-0. That liner by Chase-- ugh! Degado moves like an old man at first--he should have gotten a glove on that. After an error by LoDuca allows Utley to move up, a fly to right by Howard that Milledge should have reached drops in. Pedro walks Delucci and the bases are full.

Once he hit Hamels in the right knee, the second time it flew almost all the way to second base. Good AB so far, ten pitches in. Get a hold of one, Carlos. That was one of the most interesting at bats Ive seen this season. In both instances, when he threw the bat, he walked all the way out on the field to retrieve it. He ends up lifting a flyout to right, but that at bat had to take a lil something out of Hamel. A 13 pitch at bat.

  10. Delgado with the sliding catch on the foul pop and game ovah!
  11. Wags gets two quick outs and gives up a line single to Marlon Anderson. Itll be Escobar to pinch hit...... Wags walks him and this brings Willie to the mound.
  12. ="ScarletKnight41"]="Zvon"]="Edgy DC"]Ausitn Kearns does something stupid. Frank Robinson may end up ripping his team today. .......cry me a river Frankie. Who do you think he is - Mother Torresa? HA! The two a them should share a crying towel.

  14. Valentin with the sac fly and we get a lil
  15. Oliver on to try and get thru the 8th. And Mets get a break as the rook Zimmerman runs all the way to third on the flyout to center, and is easily doubled up!
  16. GREAT PLAY by VALENTIN gets the Mets out of trouble. Grounder up the middle, behind second-Val with the nice play coming across and a great throw to 1st. Excellent.
  17. Bases loaded for Soriano- Bradford takes the mound. 2 out.
  18. Zvon wrote: Ring in to put out the fire. He's throwin gas, but you shouldnt throw gas on a fire. Walks Ward and Rings run.
  19. ScarletKnight41 wrote: Were they? I cant recall....... Perfectly executed hit and run knocks Trachsel off the mound (figuratively speaking). Ring in to put out the fire.
  20. metirish wrote: No Gary just explained that the Nationals have all the area mascots in town to honour Screech the Nats mascot, who Gary thinks in an Owl but Ron says he's a bald eagle...looks like an owl though. Looks like a chick to me. Everyone on both teams, aside from the pitchers, are playing like they were out late last night drinking with me.
  21. Are they having a mascot convention in Washington this weekend?
  22. Thank you Marlon. Anderson error (following an error by Nat catcher Schnieder) allows the Mets to tie it.
  23. metirish wrote: Gary ] Vince Coleman inflicted a lot of damage to the Mets as a Cardinal and as a Met ......Ouch! badaboom
  24. 6th inning already--wow. Dont swing the bat again Trax--just take all the way.
