  1. ="SteveJRogers"]="Zvon"]="SteveJRogers"]="Rockin' Doc"]Reyes pop up for the third out of the sixth inning. Wow, there's a surprise. Marlins 8 Zombies 1 through six innings at Shea. Wonder if the Astros would want him for Oswalt? You would trade Reyes for an arm? Ha! What a fool. Not AN ARM, one of the top 5 in the game. Arms, no matter how top, can go down in a snap of your fingers fool. BROWSER SAYS: minimize me please. go to alternate board

The real good ones will give me a day or two, unless I call them 1st. Most friends I have down here are Phils fans too.
  4. Rollins drives in a run with his 20th triple of the year.

I think West's confusing call set the whole tone for Glavine's outing, but I'm sure many will say that Glavine was not going to have it today in any case. I think if that 1st at bat went differently, this game goes differently. And ya know what? Dat'sAbaseball.
  6. And lets get going NOW!
  7. Darling said Glavine was keeping his ball down and off the strikezone, and doing that well, but his pitches didn't have enough bite on em to keep the opposing bats off em. That may have been spot on. Glavine did not groove any pitches, but they were so easy to reach I think I could have hit him today if I just kept my eyes on the ball.
  8. SteveJRogers wrote: Heh on another board posters are suggesting using Reyes as trade bait next season for a Halladay/Santana type pitcher Okay, I suggested Santana only because Doc seems to be injury prone. You mean there's another board you could be hanging at? You don't have to feel the need to multi-task just for us. That board sounds more like your crowd Steve. The only other player who could even possibly fill Reye's shoes, and well I'm loath to say, is playing short right now for those damn fish. And Reyes should grow to be as good as him, if not better. Rollins has shown he's a top 3 NL shortstop too. But Reyes is STILL a top 3 NL shortstop, even with the emergence of Hardy and Tulowitzki. You don't deal a top 3 NL shortstop Steve. Reyes will grow. Go pass that on to that other board.
  9. As far as the booing thing goes, yesterday I would have ripped into reyes BIGTIME for not running. Today when Milledge strolled after Willis's hit, I would have booded till i spit out a lung. But early in a big game like this, I would not boo my guy for getting his bat on the ball. And reyes pops up foul out. Ok, maybe there I would have yelled at him. Something like:
  10. ="Kid Carsey"]Z: >>>yea, that hurts. And losin Dads,....worse.<<< I have no idea what you're talking about. Delgado. Even if we somehow turn this around, he's done for the season.
  11. Nats score a run. 3-1 there.
  12. Kid Carsey wrote: 8 LOB's in three innings. YAY TEAM!!! yea, that hurts. And losin Dads,....worse. Gah. Don't think things can get much worse though. There's that.
  13. Edgy DC wrote: Paulie... ...badly fooled.
  14. Edgy DC wrote: Do you pull Lo Duca for Anderson or Green here? It's only the third. We need to get something out of everything for the rest of this game. Dookie bats.
  15. Bases juiced for Dookie. Time to walk the walk Paulie, if your gonna talk that talk. And Willis is being pulled.
  16. Howard singles with bases loaded in Philly. 3-0 there
  17. SteveJRogers wrote: ="Zvon"] How does a fan booo anyone on his team during a game like this? Even when your guy is floundering, especially then, you have to get behind him and help him up. This isn't scholastic sports here Z. If a player or players don't appear to be trying, then yes, they do deserve the reaction the fans are giving them. Hey Steve, I hear there's a good football game on.
  18. Yep, it's officially broke. The way Willis is pitching we should have at least 3 back. Time to do something guys.
  19. metsguyinmichigan wrote: What happened to Delgado? Hit by a pitch.
  20. WHAT FUCKIN GAME ARE YOU PLAYIN MILLEDGE!????? He played that like a golfer walking down the fairway! Willis gets a triple. Unbelievable. 0'Hern gets out of it with a pop up.
  21. Delgado. Fractured left hand. Ugh.
  22. Bad spot to K there Mr. Wright. Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad.
  23. Reyes flies out and again is boood. Amazin'. How does a fan booo anyone on his team during a game like this? Even when your guy is floundering, especially then, you have to get behind him and help him up. Eyyyeeecurumba. Darling says they are booing cuz Reyes hit it in the air. Its true that we should see Reyes trying to hit the ball on the ground, but I think he gives this crowd way to much credit as to their thought processes.
  24. Sosa Ks the side in the 2nd! Nice. I hear a buzz in my ear....what is that pestering buzz? Oh, hi Steve, how r ya?
