  1. Another Brave error leads to the Phils second run, and then..... Howard goes yard and its 4-0 Phils.
  2. And here Castillo, the experienced vet, makes an error in the 1st and the Cards have 2 on, 1 out.
  3. TransMonk: You hit the nail on the head. This is the playoffs. Losers go home. Unbelievably as I type this, Rollins singles to lead off the Phils/Braves game, Victorino goes to sac him over, a great bunt that is thrown away and Rollins scores from 1st. !!!@@$%^**^%#
  4. HA^ So, where do we stand? Will O'Hern get a start over the weekend? We have Pedro, Perez, Maine,... Pelfrey's scheduled to go Sunday. If we are still in this,...does he get that start?
  5. I feel like that donut guy. .....Time to get the pictures....
  6. bmfc1 wrote: Have you guys ever been this down about the team? Maybe after game 7 last year but never in the regular season. This is an historic collapse, and yeah, it can turn around tomorrow but why should it? Pedro isn't going 9 so eventually, the bullpen door opens and all hell breaks loose. It's not the hitting, despite Reyes' struggles, it's all pitching. Other than Ollie last Saturday, the starters can't go 7 or 8 and the bullpen can't do anything right. We sensed it in the off-season when Omar didn't get another starter, but we said "In Omar We Trust." He lost Bradford when the stupid Orioles gave him 3 years and the Mets wouldn't but we fell in love with Joe Smith. We sensed that something was wrong when he gave Mota 2 years but, again, we trusted Omar. That fat faced, smug, jerk Boden (they keep showing him on MASN sitting in the box seats) wanted F. Martinez or Gomez and Humber for Cordero or Rauch. We said "too much" but if they had either, maybe the pen could have gotten a key out sometime last week. I think it's safe to safe that our trust in Omar has greatly diminished. I'm venting and rambling and I apologize, but it's like seeing the same game, over and over, for two weeks straight. 3 and a half hours of hell. I do hear ya bmfc1. I do. Damn, do I miss Sanchez.
  7. castillo looking. LOOKING!
  8. Aylalalala to close for the Nats? hmmmm.
  9. Yea,...even right after his worst outing, which last wasn't, you feel a measure of comfort when Wags comes on. But he screwed the pootch tonight. Gets the DP. Hey, all we need is 4 in the 9th tonight! We can do that-piece a stroodle.
  10. Belliard greets Wags with a lead off single. Grrrrrr
  11. ="Frayed Knot"]="metsguyinmichigan"]We'll need a pinch-hitter next inning. Wonder if he'll use Green for Gomez, then Conine for Aaron. Anderson, then Green. You called it FK. You win a But our boys get nothing going in the 8th. Woe is me.
  12. metsguyinmichigan wrote: We'll need a pinch-hitter next inning. Wonder if he'll use Green for Gomez, then Conine for Aaron. ...he's using every other trick in his book. Heilman survives the 8th. That was actually a nice outing, I shouldn't say 'survives'. Good job Aaron.
  13. ="Rockin' Doc"]Elster88 - "What about Shawn Green?" Good question. Green has had a hot bat this month. With the Mets postseason ever increasingly on the line, it seems odd that Willie can't get him into the line up of late. I know Willie has been playing the lefty/righty platoon, but I'd rather have Green (than Gomez) facing Bacsik. Bacsiks been gone from this game for eons-get with the times! But I agree with you both. And I've commented before on this strange usage of Green. It frightens me <Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer Heilman in for O'Hern? ....mmmkay. He gets 2 quick outs too
  14. Come on guys,..we gotta reach Rivera--we just gotta,..HERE..NOW!
  15. YES! YES! Hern Ks Church and Pena with two on!
  16. Shake off those cobwebs Hern. Get Church!
  17. wooohooo Hold em Hern! Get out those hittin sticks mah Mets! Phils won.
  18. DAYM DAVID! My hopes and your dreams are going down the tubes together buddy! Meh, your still my MVP.
  19. Phils get some fine relief from Gordon and Romero. Leading 5-2, Myers should get the 9th there.
  20. Schroder goes to play piano and Alblahblahblah-blah takes over on the mound for the Nats.
  21. metirish wrote: El Duque looks like he's coming in next inning. really!?
  22. Schoeneweis is good for one. But Feliciano wasn't good for two? Hey Willie:
  23. Goat a 2 out pinch hitter for Felice. Who pitches now?
