Which five do you have? What do you mean by "The Flynn also has ....." Do you have "Magic is Back" or "Magic is Real" signs? I am getting the Flynn and Mazzilli in the next few weeks..I am missing the Mazzilli sign for the magic is back..Here is my dungeon.. I just picket up the Hubie Brooks caricature which is not shown done by Bruce Stark in the 82 set. Best room eveh!

In looking up the Stark stuff earlier I read how he had done posters for various TV shows and I assumed that the one I had was his. Nope. Wow, I saw the style and did not even look at the signature. Were they twins separated at birth or something? How much other Davis stuff have I mistaken for Stark? My perspective of reality has been shaken!

Oh the stuff I ruined with cheap tape from Woolworths ... Yup. Me too. I could only imagine what the originals of those drawings would take in right about now. Stark was a friend of my father's for a time and a great caricaturist who did a lot of TV/movie stuff as well as sports. I had a few wall posters of his - Get Smart & F-Troop IIRC - which I wish I had kept in better shape and hung onto. Cant find the F troop, but I do recall it.
  4. Ugh, Gary cements my feeling that this season went south ever since the Puerto Rico series. I remember saying in one of those IGTs that I hope I don't have to look back on that series as the beginning of the end. But it was. Another nice pitching performance wasted.
  5. Pelfrey is off the hook and outta the game. I personally wanted to see him go one more. Why not try and get him that win? Are we playing to not lose that one game that will knock us out of the wildcard? Paaalease.
  6. That's another thing to root for. Wright driving in 100. He needs five. That would be sweet.
  7. Dave ties it up again. He will have to do more to make me forgive him though. I'm a tough fan.
  8. A grounder goes right through Reyes legs. This is now officially both funny and disgusting.
  9. Wright should have fielded that grounder that went past him for a double. And with two outs and a man on 3rd Wright muffs a grounder to his left and the Fish take the lead. Oy.
  10. So far a fine outing by Big Pelf. A shame if it goes to waste.
  11. Mets have 10 hits and only one run to show for it in the middle of the 6th.
  12. Damn you Mike Stanton! Nice catch you bastage.
  13. Okay. We are here rooting for Pelfrey to get another win and for the Mets to hit a grand slam. There are things left to root for folks. What else should we be rooting for now so close to the end of this oh so disappointing season?
  14. Holy shitazoid! Tuned in to the Phils game in the 9th. They were down 6-3. And I'll be damned they come back and win. A Werth walkoff. I should not be pissed off about this. I will be rooting for these guys to go all the way.
  15. I dunno why this season is buggin me so much. Its not like I haven't followed bad Met teams before. And coming out of the gate I thought we pretty much were a .500 team. Maybe it was the hope I felt before the all star break when we were playing so well. There was a time when I really thought we were contenders. The most disappointing thing to me is that I don't think the front office ever really considered us that. Looks like they had a mindset that said :well, if they can go somewhere with this squad great, because we are not going to be giving them any help. And they didn't.
  16. And Carter Ks to get it over with. The Mets can't even throw a monkey wrench in the Braves post season possiblities. Man, even with all we have gone through the last few years I don't think any season in recent memory has bummed me out more than this one.
  17. load em up and getERdun!
