  1. Talking about third base. Brooks was such an idol of mine. From 70-72 I was Agee in the outfield and Brooks in the infield. Eventually I became a third baseman and stayed there til my softball years. In softball I went from shortstop to third to outfield again, where I started.
  2. Gah, okay, next inning. I want an insurmountable lead! What would that be with this Met squad?
  3. Nice bunt Laggy. And nice speed. Gee bunts him over....
  4. Lady taking pictures of her kids graduation does something that even in these enlightened times could get her burned as a witch.
  5. Gee gets out of it with a little help from the ump. No matter. Big K Gee. GJ.
  6. uughboy. Here we go... Damn. Nice try by Byrd.

  8. Desmond has a ribby in the Nats first half. Duda doubles safely with his bat. Byrdy says to Duda... Ruined my song but thats okay.
  9. FUCK. Gee almost gets out of the first without allowing a run. Desmond has a ribby in the Nats first half.....
  10. I could have played that fly like that at my age, Marlon. Your an MLB'r...okay, sun was in your eyes. Boohoo. Span.Span.Span.Span. Wonderful Span!
  11. PLAY[crossout]BALL[/crossout]whateverthehellitisyoudoouthere!
  12. Oh, I see. Those above have the autographs added. So that means I have rare unsigned copies of some of your cards. I'll trade you a '71 unautographed Piazza for one of your unreleased cards.
  13. Vic Sage wrote: You played on the same little league field, Gil Hodges field (later renamed with grotesque genuflection as Joe Torre Stadium), as I did, you fuck. Nice and enjoyable rant. A triboro Bridge too far. Classic. But this^ What's the point of naming a place in someones memory- to be there and forever remind us of this person- if you are going to change it! There are plenty of other fields out the that could have been named after Torre. Those fucks.
  14. Got it, Got it, Got it, Got it, Got it, Orlando Hernandez! kool! Pelfry! Aw, got it. This is like opening a pack
  15. Benjamin Grimm wrote: I count 127 cards. Damn. Bright side, I eventually will collect em all. I found a few cards that could be yours in the other folder. With the Topps remakes and others who make card tributes like you once they get in that folder it gets confusing. The '70 Brian Stokes is yours, right? I also have folders for Met seasons, from 1962 to 2013, full of images from that year. I have found cards in those at times. I have a '71 Santana with a card back. That yours? Have you ever posted non-Met cards here? Benjamin Grimm wrote: I recently revisited some of the earlier cards. I had some 1971 and 1975 cards without the player signatures and I've fixed that. I'm planning to post them to the UMDB on a page where you could select by player or by year. That will involve me cataloging the cards, and I'll then find out if I have more than your count of 66. I'll post the revised 1971 and 1975 cards in the "UMDB Stuff" thread. Kool. I'm wordpadding up my Grimm card checklist.

I have a special folder called Ben Grimms Cards, but sometimes I saved them to a different folder called Met Baseball Cards. I'll look in there and see how many I can recognize as yours. That folder has over 900 card images in it. Yikes.

Once you get to that window with the cryptacrap you can stay there all day and vote over and over. Ill leave it up and vote some more again b4 I crash tonight. And if you close the window and go back there, your votes are saved. Pretty kool beans. 60 votes for Wright and Murphy, and I was forced to vote for all the other positions and leagues. The price I had to pay
  19. No debate that they suck right now. Hittings been sporadic for some time. The Yankee series was a gift I do appreciate. But watching this... The kind of Met fan I am, this sucks cuz I'm a lifer and I'm gonna have to witness this kinda baseball until they improve. I have turned my back on the team in the past, but with the internet its harder to do cause I can chat w/Met fans. And I got that nifty MLB.TV thang. So I'm just gonna have to do a pouty face and bear it. Don't mind me. Im pissed at Parnell. Bobby, ya let me down boy! And pissed at Terry. And miffed at Jeff Wilpon cuz I just learned about the Norfolk business.

I don't think it is debatable. We needed three out. To get that 1st one Berny was the preferred client in my book. Terry, you're bummin me out!
