  1. Watching bits of todays game. I especially want to see how Colon pitched (I liked what I saw). In the second inn the first base ump blew 3 calls in succession inside maybe 2 minutes. Colon picked the runner off first twice and both times he was called safe. Then Wright made an amazin' diving catch (ball already was by him) on a grounder, popped up and threw the guy out bya few inches, and the first base ump called the guy safe. Great play by Wright today. I'm telling you, they don't need this replay BS. They need better umps. Umps need to be vetted better. Hold them accountable. If they are bad umps get rid of them. I think at least 50% of the umps today suck. And you're going to make these easier for them? So they don't have to get it right. As far as the time situation, lengths of games and allAdat, sure, there are some time wasters that can be addressed and cut down on, when the ball isnt in play. Other than that the game is fine. It's people that need to slow down, and eventually they will.
  2. Mid season down in LasVegas he runs thru an outfield wall and keeps running until he lands with the D'Backs.
  3. I'm gonna miss him.
  4. Finally played. Big bunt single by Seratelli that the Braves pitcher threw into right allowing denDekker to score. Braves left fielder Joey Terd{..} dropped a shallow routine fly to left. Kevin Plawecki ripped a double all the way to the wall down the left field line. Muno, and a hustling Puuello both score. Braves Brandon Allen makes a very Murphish error and Plawecki scored. den Dekker triples down the right field line. The right fielder bobbled the ball, picked it up and dropped it, fell on his ass, kicked it away, and then chased after it (a little embellishment there but not much). Clark scored. Some good hitting, some very sloppy fielding.
  5. MLB.TV won't cooperate. It keeps starting the game over from the beginning when I jump to a late inning.

  7. GJ Parnell! He wasn't sharp but he didn't grab his neck at all. His last pitch was a beaut. Mets Win, 8-2
  8. Bobby gets a break. That end guy on the DP was safe. 2 out, 8-2 Mets.
  9. Parnell's beard is certainly ready. 0 out, bases juiced.

I remember seeing that happen to fireballer Steve Dalkowsi in a spring training game against the MFYs. (IIRC the batter was Elston Howard). Dalkowski never pitched again. Later Damn. Mets broke it open last inning, 8-1. I was afk, not sure what happened. Parnell on for the 9th.
  11. Mets take the lead 2-1 on a bunt gone wild.
  12. WHOA! Brown just threw a Brave out at the plate with a perfect peg after charging in on a single. Close play at the plate leaves no lane but the ball arrives just ahead of the runner. Bang,Bang!
  13. d'Kong76 wrote: Can't think like that, it can happen to your guy tomorrow. Again. Bite your tongue. 1-1 Mets in the 7th.
  14. Tejeda fouls out to end the Mets 5th. -1/3 Ashie62 wrote: Good for the Mets perhaps... Yea, I hate to see that and then think: things are lookin' up. But that's baseball.
  15. Grabbed his elbow. Then threw a pitch and walked right off the mound and removed himself. Not good for him.
  16. Medlen hurt? Shoot, I wasn't paying attention. Looks like Medlen was removed due to injury.
  17. Whew. Wheeler with 3 good innings. He hit a few bumps & he rode em out. 1-0 Mets, mid 3rd Guyz says Parnell will pitch today.
  18. Tejada Ks on a called 3rd strike to end the inning. -1/3
  19. Mets threatening. 1st & 3rd, 1 out. Base hit by.....#60! 1-0 Mets.

  24. OH,OH! You don't go for that extra base off Lagares. Simmons out going 1st to third on a single to short right center.
