  1. Tatis filed for FA today. What's not to like?
  2. We just did a survey for ou4 quarterly alumni magazine. Overwhelmingly in favor of keeping a print version in addtion to the on-line version. Classic response..."What, I have to take the laptop into the John with me?" The under-30 crowd, 80 percent want a print version. Doesn't surprise me that the Snooz is going full barrel on print still. As for JP, he would help offset the other innings killer, OLiver Perez.

  6. That girl ran a 50 yard dash in a 40 yard gym. Too bad.
  7. She wouldn't even qualify as the big, ugly cheerleader that holds up the rest of the pyramid. That's just nasty.
  8. Perhaps the Wilpons didn't know if the end result was profit or loss with this guy. The investigation continues, tho.
  9. Mike Tirico was suspended for hitting on a co-worker several years back. Sean Salisbury was canned for taking a picture of his manhood with his cell phone. ESPN Plaza has taken on the personality of a locker room.
  10. Kenny just needed a good pitching coach, like Peterson...who is now in Milwaukee with the Macha-Randolph family reunion.
  11. With Kenny gone, rumor has it Misch has been told to get strong for a starting rotation fight in the spring.
  12. That is not a doctor's coat Jeff is wearing. It is a straight jacket. I thought the MFYs having Hal was bad.
  13. Alan Probst, former farm hand http://www.alanprobst.com/alan_probst.html
  14. Roider. HOUSTON (AP) -- Former major leaguer Chuck Knoblauch has been charged with assaulting his common-law wife. A judge set Knoblauch's bond at $10,000 after he appeared in court Tuesday. According to a criminal complaint, Knoblauch's wife told police he hit her in the face and then choked her at their Houston home on Friday. Knoblauch's attorney did not immediately return a telephone call Tuesday. The 41-year-old former infielder is a Houston native and a four-time All-Star who played for the New York Yankees, Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals from 1991-02. Knoblauch was one of more than 80 players who were accused of using performance-enhancing drugs in the 2007 Mitchell Report on baseball's steroids era. Knoblauch later acknowledged using performance enhancers.
  15. Andorra?
  16. Not so good on this one. NEW HAVEN, Conn. The lab tech suspected of killing a Yale student was playing softball the day the victim's body was found. Thirty-six-year-old Vinnie Mauro calls Clark "nondescript" and says he didn't lose his temper or even interact much with other players. Mauro says he usually recognizes Clark by the Mets jersey he wears with player David Wright's name on the back. Mauro says his team defeated Clark's Wild Hogs in the playoff game. Clark was playing shortstop. Clark is charged with killing 24-year-old Annie Le. Her body was found in a lab building wall after she had been missing for days.
  17. The Mets medical staff is soooo bad, that dolphin face still uses the Mets docs. Interesting indeed. HOUSTON (AP) -- The Houston Astros say left-handed starting pitcher Mike Hampton will miss next season after undergoing surgery on his left shoulder. A statement issued by the Astros on Tuesday say surgeons at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York repaired a full left rotator cuff tear in Hampton's pitching shoulder. Dr. David Altchek, the New York Mets' medical director, also repaired partial damage to the labrum in the shoulder. The 37-year-old lefty was 7-10 in 21 starts this season with a 5.30 ERA in 112 innings. He's 148-115 in 409 career appearances with a 4.07 ERA in 2,264 career innings.
  18. All but one of those games were with SF. Freaking Bonds provided zero offense for the boy. Bonds, totally unreliable. Jerry hooking Misch. Give that boy a hand, and a Schaefer.
  19. He's MISCHievous on the mound. First MLB win in sight. Hopin'.
  20. I grew up a Craig Nettles fan oddly enough. Go ahead and flog me now!!
  21. According to (drum roll please)...TMZ! Just days after being dropped by the New York Mets for being a terrible baseball player, Livan Hernandez had a lawsuit dropped in his lap for allegedly being a terrible payer. A guy named Franklin Vizcaino -- who claims to have been Hernandez's personal driver -- just filed a lawsuit in NY claiming the pitcher owes him $15,800. TMZ spoke with Vizcaino, who gave us the breakdown on the cash: $7500 for unpaid wages -- and the rest, he claims, is what's owed to him after Hernandez borrowed (and then wrecked) his Lincoln Navigator back in June. Vizcaino wants his nearly 16 grand back, plus interest and whatever the court will add onto it for his troubles.
  22. It all started to unravel when Castillo dropped the pop-up.
