  1. Saw the movie last week and loved it. He's a pretty good director but his writing is amazing. I don't believe it was intended to be serious or funny, but a typical Tarantino job (incredible characters, great performances and shit you woundn't think to put on screen given one hundred years). Basement bar scene was great but the dialogue and cinematography in the farmhouse scene was unlike anything I'd ever seen. I wasn't a big fan of 'Death Proof' and I'd put this on par with RD and PF.
  2. Ralph, as always, was great. The tall glass of water is a completely different (and effective) pitcher when he throws stikes and picks up the pace. I think he needs a good pitching coach or sports psychologist in the off-season. CSB is shining down on us...I can tell.
  3. Oh, Creepy Sun Baby, shine your heavenly light upon our SHaMs today and keep our boys safe (especially our third baseman and shiny new catcher). Amen.
  4. Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker. A happy recap! Thank you CSB!
  5. Alright boys. Save something for tomorrow, please.
  6. Ladies and gentlemen, your all-world LF'er Cory Sullivan. Cory in the house!
  7. Pagan, you MF'er.
  8. Beautiful, Bobby!
  9. Plain old sad. Saw him on Real Sports recently and he's either brain damaged, on drugs or both.
  10. Referenced by Gary during tonight's game as coming from our friends at Elias... Only four pitchers who've seen at least 250 batters this season have thrown first pitch strikes less than 50% of the time. Three are Mets: Green, Parnell and Frankie.
  11. That's great. A graphical representation of our pain this year. Great job, Sean!
  12. Oh, Creepy Sun Baby, shine your heavenly light upon our SHaMs today and keep our boys safe (especially our third baseman and all-world left fielder). Amen.
  13. Nice job, even if you're really not feeling it.
  14. So, anything come of this? How'd he and mole look?
  15. Oh, Creepy Sun Baby, shine your heavenly light upon our SHaMs today and keep our boys safe (especially our third baseman and shiny new catcher). Amen.
  16. Fuck DJ. He hasn't won shit without Jeff Nelson, Paul O'Neill or Ramiro Mendoza. Hell, Mendoza has more World Series' rings than the Prince of the Bronx.
  17. Only saw him later in his career but Yaz was my favorite non-Met growing up. I've also been very fond of Tony Perez and Carlton Fisk. I still have no issue with Mark McGuire (they were supplements, damnit!).
  18. Nobody holds his own like Timmy. ;-)
  19. Nice get by Pagan and two nice throws to get Gonzalez at the plate. That was great to see.
  20. 1. There's was no argument (based on any definition of the word). 2. I didn't reframe anything. 3. I never said that you said Mets management was smart. I've gone back and reread my post any believe you're seeing things that aren't there and I surely didn't intend. I'm done. You can post and have the last word. Good night.
  21. 8 triples in 225 or so at-bats. Not too shabby. Nice job, Angel.
  22. Either that or fairly regular bad judgment. Just wondering out loud.
