  1. Let the pitcher bat ninth. Attempts otherwise are vanity projects.
  2. We need Matt Harvey healthy one year at a time.
  3. Michael Edwin Fyhrie (born December 9, 1969 in Long Beach, California) is a former professional baseball player who played 5 seasons for the New York Mets, Anaheim Angels, Chicago Cubs, and Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball. He also pitched one season in Japan for the Chiba Lotte Marines in 2003. The following year, he played for the Hyundai Unicorns in Korea where he sported a 16-6 record with a sub-3.00 E.R.A. Currently, Fyhrie plays baseball for the SoCal MSBL (Men's Senior Baseball League) Whales How about Randy Tate.
  4. Can't help to recall that backhanded twist and tag on Carlos Lee a couple seasons back. It turned out after a couple of months he had a broken back.
  5. Lets hope Harvey doesn't show at YS3 by accident.
  6. Suzi Quattro is available.
  7. Defies age on way to world series. .302 25 hr 98 rbi.
  8. Muno 250 AB 11 HR 38 RBI .269 with Mets. Higher if Murphy leaves.
  9. Theres that Muno guy again.
  10. Murphy may go on DL leaving Reynolds/Muno to open/per Rotoworld
  11. Theres that Muno gut again.
  12. Lest we not forget that Chuck Wepner went at it against Andre the Giant at Shea in 1972.
  13. Lets just all live in peace, ok?
  14. I am sick of you as well. You are mean to me on a consistent basis. Im sure you disagree. Oh, can some other than you have a crack at the igts this season.. It was nice when you disappeared for a year or more. It doesn't have to be that way kase. Look at all the crap batmags starts.

Btw, is irish not posting recently? Irish is active on facebook. This forum can be an intimidating place at times, as in too much argument by too few people.
  16. Those pictures are ripe for the 1967 Topps set which featured bright collors. I saw Goosen play many moons ago and it seems he was a highly thought of prospect.
  17. Hmmmm, that Monell guy again.
  18. Forest Green faded badly.

The Mets were being prudent in keeping Gee to use when some starter went down. A starter did go down, just earlier than we expected. I don't see any argument that includes Gee and cheap in the same sentence.

I believe Matz had TJ surgery 5/18/2010 and saw Dr Andrews fearing another tear in 2012. A nice current background piece on Matz. http://www.northjersey.com/sports/baseball/the-mets-next-big-thing-1.1289403?page=all

So I'm thinking Syndegaard and Montero should be set for 2016, since we'll have Wheeler back by then. Hopefully we can schedule their's early in the year so they'll be ready for Opening Day 2017. Did Mejia already have his TJ surgery? If not, we should try to coordinate it for when Parnell comes back. Makes me queasy to know both Harvey and deGrom have TJ on their charts. Like a bag of exploding rubberbands. That would make Dr. Andrews the Rubberband man.
  22. Edgy MD wrote: My real concern is not to suggest that Dr. Andrews is in any way not above board (he and Jobe may possibly deserve to be in the Hall of Fame), but rather to suggest that a small pool of experts is not ideal to the advancement of the field. FWIW This Dr. Khalfayan from Seattle. There is some interesting info on the procedure and names of pro clients. http://drkhalfayan.com/testimonials/
  23. Crap. I have a feeling we may see more Thor Montero and Matz than I would have guessed.
  24. Looks not far from a circle change. The Orioles have a gaggle of bullpen lefties.
