  1. well, i meant wrights getting in teh batters box routine. it seems different to me.
  2. is it me, or does david look really uncomfortable at the plate, setting up prior to each pitch?
  3. if you time-lapsed it, you could even become a you-tube sensation!
  4. how... much mets stuff should there be? like, what's the level of expectation? personally, i'm glad the entire structure isn't slathered in blue and orange paint. if we walk from our seats to the concession, will we forget that the place we are in is the home of the mets if we don't see giant METS! METS! METS! banners hanging from each available rafter?
  5. from today's NY times... "At Shea, the fan who caught Geruts homer would have thrown it back. Not here. Too good of a souvenir. " i'm sorry, but i don't believe that foolish behavior has made its way into our city just yet. i mean, does anybody remember a game at shea where an opponent's home run was thrown back onto the field? i had always thought new york fans were at least smart enough to not do that. boo, sure. but throw back a perfectly good souvenir? no way!
  6. no way that ticks off endy's glove.
  7. to quote my wife... "david wright - he's so dreamy!" of course, i'm pretty sure i coined the phrase.
  8. well, i think that's out in any other stadium in the league...
  9. david's gotta start trying to hit line drives instead of trying to hit home runs...
  10. here kitty kitty... wonder if he was a plant? and wow, good aggression by reyes, just overslid the base. dang.
  11. the one thing i notice is that the behind the plate camera is really high. it might be an espn thing - not sure. it does look so darned unfamiliar, doesnt it? and nice double by david wright. way to leg it out!
  12. i thought they booed the ump on that call...
  13. that's it. the evening is ruined.
  14. in yesterday's system, my system actually tried to award santana 7.7 schaeffer votes. that's gotta be some sort of record for a loss. if i had entirely too much time, i'd look into it. but i'm lazy, too.

  19. ="Edgy DC":1gx6ofkt]Randolph and Manuel ain't black and white.[/quote:1gx6ofkt] i would've considered them black and black.
  20. i'm sorry, but i cannot for the life of me imagine johan spitting out that quote in anger and disgust in his fellow teammates carelessness. what i can imagine is johan using those same words in an attempt to be diplomatic about his teammate who is obviously still making his way up the learning curve, on a big stage. it obviously could go either way depending on the question asked and the tone of voice. for something like this, i'd really like to hear the way it was said. if it were cut and dry, like if johan had said somehting like 'i don't know what the hell he was thinking or why he's even out there in the first place, but he ruined my pristine outing and i'm sick of it!' then it'd be easier to figure out. there's enough qualifiers in both johan quotes that, to me, come across as judicious and diplomatic, not throwing a bus onto his teammate.
