1. Been watching this video because I've always adored Sid but I have zero recollection of Billy Wagner probably because that was when the Mets went radio silent on me. Quite a story of his youth! What do you guys recall of him?
2. Life will go on
3. Jumping Jesus. Just don't sign him to so many years. How hard is that to figure out?
4. A Boy Named Seo wrote: If I had the need and means to buy a full-page ad in a New York paper to deliver a personal message, I think the Post would be pretty low on my list, for at least two reasons. And being a famous dude, I'd probably reach more people by just posting it on my own social media to begin with. Maybe this should be a poll, but if you had a important personal message to deliver to the masses of NY, how would you do it? Tell you guys

He's the one on the left, with his friend, "Froggy Ball". Maybe the Mets can get a player named "Bola de Rana" to complete the set. (EDIT: I'm not used to seeing cartoon characters with five fingers!) Especially…grasshoppers?
6. =DocTee post_id=115230 time=1671629281 user_id=85] From a friend on social media: "leaving out 2020 because of the shortened season, the last four years he has averaged 21 HR, 70 RBI, .272 average with 69 runs scored, 24 doubles, 1 stolen base, .358 OBP, .835 OPS, 117 games Similar numbers to Escobar last year.
7. Yay! I can see them on my laptop
8. I have pictures too 🙂 and in dad's office there's still a picture of me and Rusty. Gosh it seems like yesterday. It's cool that you've met Rusty several times!
9. Dang I can't see any of them
10. Good idea lol
11. =kcmets post_id=115079 time=1671465788 user_id=53] What year was the letter? He had two restaurants, the original up in the 70's? Later on he had a 'fancier' one on Fifth Avenue. First time we went there it was pretty good and the second time not so much so.
12. Whew I thought you meant Wayne Garrett
13. Today I was looking through some of my moms stuff. I found a letter from an insurance person, to my dad, answering him as to Rusty's current whereabouts. She told dad that Rusty had just opened a restaurant in New York City. I wonder why dad asked her that? 🤔
14. Sounds like something my husband would love!
15. Lol that is correct
16. Please let us know… We love the books, and like the shows but there are some things that leave us puzzled
17. Based on the Louise Penny series, this is episodes of the books about Armand Gamache and his staff. Beloved in this household. So far, although we're okay with the cast (except maybe ONE actress) we're underwhelmed. Too much mishmash of the novels and stuff that isn't even part of the story line. We do love the cast (except aforementioned one person) but go to bed and discuss our puzzling thoughts Anyone?
18. Yes I kinda misread what you meant and realized it. But I was just reminiscing:)
19. Seaver...just as popular, Wright... just as popular, Piazza...just as popular, Hernandez... just as popular. I'm sure there's more. And that's not even counting my personal favorites, lol
20. =batmagadanleadoff post_id=114603 time=1670864138 user_id=68] I mean, I just can't believe that the NY press hasn't flushed out all of these details by now. We're talking about one of the greatest .Mets ever and an extremely popular player with the fans. Granted, his popularity surely took a big hit this week.
21. Geez Remembering mostly that his name wasn't like ‘Tijuana' but ‘Taiwan'
22. =vtmet7 post_id=114063 time=1670340275 user_id=80] don't see any Nimmo FA threads, so don't know where to comment on Nimmo's path... Now that Trea Turner signed that long term deal; there is a post in one of the Mets groups on Facebook, whereas it's suggested that the Mets should offer Nimmo a 6 year, $150 Mil contract...I realize that contracts are escalating and that Nimmo is a Boras guy; but IMO that is crazy high for Nimmo...
