  1. ]The Nats announced his minor league contract and invite yesterday in a five man press release that included two Gustavos. ... Gotta be some kind of record. The Mets could do better with two Ambiorixes.
  2. Every New York team should have a Putz.
  3. Final 16? What is it?
  4. Ferris never did it for me.

  14. I voted for War Games, but Jamie Lee taking her clothes off was a strong attraction. Best for this, though, is Love Letters.
  15. Crash, even though I loved Stand By Me and I don't believe Oswald acted alone.
  16. Rain Man.
  17. This was from the Times -- sorry, was in a hurry earlier and didn't put in the attribution.
  18. The starting rotation with Shields and Scott Kazmir signed through 2011, and Garza and Andy Sonnanstine renewable can easily remain intact. But the club might choose to trade one, with Kazmir the top candidate. He was erratic down the stretch and in the playoffs, but his age (24) and his reasonable salaries in the future ($6 million, $8 million and $12 million) could attract a wealthy contender to offer young coal for the Rays furnace.
  19. I've watched both of these recently with my grandson. Pee Wee was a true original.
  20. I was thinking I'd be the only vote for Terminator, Blade Runner being such a cult fave and all, but I see I'm actually in the majority, unless there were a lot of mis-votes.
  21. E.T. You guys are all too jaded.
  22. Fast Times at Ridgemont High is a classic. Police Academy is just a dumb movie. Now if it had been Massacre at Central High...
  23. This is a baseball board, right? Who are all these people voting for Witness?
  24. I don't even know Heaven Help Us.
  25. i gotta vote for Chevy for old times sake, even though I wasn't crazy about either of these.
