  1. There 'tis.
  2. Let's go, Dom. Make a memory.
  3. Homer the previous bat aside, Shmescobar continuing to look lost.
  4. Mets are being punished tonight for keeping Smitty on the bench committee.
  5. Escodizzy just caught up with a bender himself. Houston leads 7-2. Could've used that a few innings ago from EE, but it's miserly to complain now.
  6. It might have been nice if the Mets had a baserunner or three at the time, but Pete just visited The Boom-Boom Room. And it was NOT a Polo Grounds homer.
  7. I'm not sure the disoriented Escobar story is quite over.
  8. Chasen Shreve is allergic to the strike zone, and Eduardo Escobar doesn't bother covering third on a steal. Some head-in-assedness seems to have spread among the Mets on the plane from New York.
  9. I just looked up the 2014 bullpen. We had periods of Farnsworth, Dice-Kloser, Jon LOLannan, Dana Eveland, and Who's-Your-Buddy Carlyle. Lannan!
  10. Joined the Mets at the butt end of a long career, and I'm pretty sure he either went to the Mexican League after, or played in the WBC for Mexico after. Maybe both.
  11. Lefty Specialist wrote: Escobar's playing time needs to be reduced. He's killing this team in key spots, yesterday's hit notwithstanding. Too many times he's just not having competitive at-bats. 12. Great job getting out of trubble by Urquidy, but also impressive work behind the plate by his catcher Maldonado.
  13. Speaking of tributes, Yuli Gurriel just did a heckuva Bill Buckner tribute.
  14. Edgy MD wrote: Altuve just hit a 1962-Mets-at-Polo-Grounds homer. [CROSSOUT]Down the lines was short, the power alleys and center field were deep. which was it?[/CROSSOUT] Silly me, this is Houston. Never mind. This is a bandbox. Later It was down the line.
  15. One out to left, one out to right and almost one out to center, but Nimmo did a Beltran tribute.
  16. We might need help in this thread, folks. Mets suddenly down 3-0.
  17. Altuve just hit a 1962-Mets-at-Polo-Grounds homer.
  18. In the Marlins series, they always seemed have the infield shifted wrong. So far this game, Houston has had their fielders shifted right a couple of times.
  19. Hunter knew how the ride his dad's chest protector to the big time. It's now just called Wendlestedt Umpiring School. But it has an implied H in the logo that you can project either Harry or Hunter onto. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/2e/Wendelstedt_Umpire_School_Logo.png>
  20. Hunter Wendelstedt showing the world why he has his own umpiring school.
  21. I completely forgot he was a Met for a spell. So unMetly he was. He was so unMetly that he made Jon Rauch seem Metly. What a weird year that 2014 was for brief unMetly interlopers in the bullpen.
  22. Alex Bregman can play third.
  23. I think you're sort of right though. He hit the Injured List twice in succession. I think he hit the granny in between, and then got reinjured in a non-contact injury (shoulder?) that was a lingering effect of the collision. Good job. I was coming up empty.
  24. I forget how tiny Minute Maid looks.
