Nope, there's your ppp, and his name is Luis Guillorme. Good move by the Mets, moving three other players at irregular positions. Might as well get them some comfort, and now McNeil gets a Strat-o-Matic rating at short.
Good job by Gary remembering that The Fonz drove a Harley. Looking it up, it was a 1947 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead. https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-szmHUxE1wiM/V8-M3tDhNnI/AAAAAAAATkk/Ysr5KgnAegk8EI6HskSTwHN886RcbpiWwCLcB/s640/Fonz02.jpg> On the other hand, I don't think it's really accurate to make a distinction between "the Dave Mason Traffic" and "the Steve Winwood Traffic."
Yeah, the question is too frequently phrased in terms of "What do you think of 'the new rules'?" Each rule clearly deserves to be considered individually. But that's the way The Man operates.
Yeah, I guess I meant to write "pitchers" there. Kaz came over in a class with Shingo Takatsu, Kazuhito Tadano, and Akinori Otsuka, and was indeed probably tops-on-arrival from that group.
I was surprised to find that the Mets have had more Japanese-born players (or was it just pitchers?) than any other organization. I feel like this is the first time they went out and got the top Japanese player coming over. They've gotten Hideo Nomo and Daisuke Matsuzaka at the back end of their careers, but this may be the first time they've landed a star pitcher when it was the time to land him.
