1. Lindor is having a good month tonight.
2. Keith music:
3. Welcome to the board, Francisco Álvarez.
4. It would be nice to get Álvarez involved in this party.
5. Lindor, Nimmo, and Alonso in a race to see who can break through that .240 batting average ceiling. Alonso wins.
6. Nimmo cooperating with my shower agenda.
7. Yeah, arguing that a guy shouldn't be playing because he doesn't play enough is not gonna get you hired by any team I own.
8. Hey, Texas, that's what you get for benching Lee Mazzilli.
9. [bIGPURPLE]NO PLAY FOR MR. GRAY!![/bIGPURPLE]
10. Lindor almost concussed two guys on one hit.
11. Damn, look at those guns on Adolis Garcia. Those are, like, Gallaraga arms.
12. I'm counting 111 from 2020 on, although that's including the likes of Todd Frazier and Kevin Pillar. I probably double-counted some guy. Amazingly, during that period, the Mets have deployed on the mound four distinct guys named "Trevor."

14. Sure sounds like the name of a real-life Texas Ranger, too. From Gainesville, FL, and goes by the nickname "Evel Knievel."
15. Mets bowing to concerns about Marte's defense. Harrison Bader takes a blow also. 16. I imagine he triggered the release, as his salary was guaranteed even if he refused a minor-league assignment.
17. As I just wrote, yes.
18. The fun part, though, is that, as dubious as the listed candidacies above were, they seem to be improving at similar rates, making the competition heated for the right reason, instead of the wrong one. I'm editing the post to allow vote changing. J.D. Martinez was a pretty questionable candidate when this poll was created, but not so much anymore.
19. He certainly has seemed to decline this season (which the data supports), and his failure to catch a ball in London was a mystery, but he sure had a strong series against San Diego. (He looked at least as strong out there as Tatis who is a defending Gold Glove winner.) His arm is still a weapon and a threatening deterrent. Whether his failure to cover ground will be a continuing issue remains to be seen, but the team is getting him regular time off, his bat is justifying his playing time, defensive replacements are available if the issues continue, potential permanent replacements are coming forward, and the DH slot is open next year. So while the situation is less than ideal — as it is at pretty much every position — things are in a workable and flexible state from which to go forward. And it appears so far that flexibility is key part of David Stearns' philosophy.
20. Long live Perú!!!
21. If I had no team I was partial to, and I had to pick any of these looks as my everyday uniform (and I guess that's a standard), I'd pick the Mets City Connect look over the Roxxx 94 times out of a 100.
22. They're all a challenge and a jolt. I think a lot of the ones ranked high can go low, and the ones ranked low can go high. In the field of publicly proclaimed rankings, rarely do rankers stick with to a single standard. We have been American Idol-ized. Generating passionate dissent becomes the point, rather than building consensus.
