I'm excited to hear there's something he's saving them for. But really, we've muscled up the depth, it's time to use it. And letting Campbell face a righty in the late innings of a one-run game while Conforto, Duda, Johnson, and Niewenhuis play a foursome of bridge in the clubhouse ain't using it.

The funny thing is, a deal can certainly go down but not be announced until after the deadline. But it won't matter, because if the deadline passes without news, crazy-assed folks is gonna burn down the ballpark.

There was an old Saturday Night Live sketch with Harry Shearer as a host of a radio station with an "all-time" format, just reading the time over and over again, taking calls asking for the hour, just repeating over and over again, "It's three minutes after the hour... three minutes after the hours... it's thr...
