How about Cabrera fucking with Parra.

Well, a good show by both Blevvy and Ramos. That's gotta be worth something.

Lots o' not scoring going around.

RealityChuck wrote: 78 is a sucky cover. Just a random action shot with no context. I think it's a pretty outstanding action shot, though it's action the Mets didn't come out on top of. It really represents who the 1978 Mets were and would remain through the Torre era: familiar, likeable, athletic, hard-nosed, and with enough talent to be almost-but-not-quite successful, if the opposition was the equally lowly Cubs.

With the pitcher up fourth, Conforto may end up getting a crack at redemption.

You used your review, Roxx!!

Yup and yup. Great pitched game. Let's get a little support for those arms. They're bringing in a reliever with the number 0. That's blasphemy, no?

Nice hit, Wilmer. Could've kept you and Sewald in the game if we double switched out Frazier.

Marc Carig reports that the Mets are winning handily. [tweet:yhikruhm] [/tweet:yhikruhm]

Mets actually out-hitting the opposition.

You guys are missing Nimmo's best game of the year.

And Nimmo proves it.

Charlie Blackmon: Not a genius.

No, guys, I DO want to take away Rosario's aggressiveness.

Sandy calls it the end of an era, but sending out Harvey and bringing in Hansel ain't exactly the passing of a torch. I predict a win with an inflated margin of victory.

I'm hoping that Matz has the advantage of not confusing bullshit bravado with confidence, and is therefore a little more willing to step back and make the adjustments he has to make.

There's something to be said for dumping your underperforming malcontent while you're winning. The Mets released George Foster in the midst of a three game sweep of the Cubs at Wrigley, including a doubleheader sweep. But as this is a DFA following a refused minor league assignment, rather than an outright release, the timing is a somewhat trickier.

Newsday is the only tabloid outlet to lay off of the "Dark Knight" thing. There are apparently a lot of rough pictures of Matt Harvey when you need them. Oh buggles.

Man. If Reyes had swiped second, this tame might be tied.

Damn it, Nimmo. TAKE! You do it as well as anybody.

Take that first pitch, Brandy.

OK, just keep that line moving.

Well, Frazier doesn't have much respect for a funeral.
