It's nice to hear Gary coming around (slowly) on the foolishness of the ever-shorter workdays for starters. But he's only making part of the argument, asking what other sport do you let your best players play only 2/3 of the game. They're playing only 2/3 of the game — if that much — after only playing one game in five. After a while, you start asking exactly what you're protecting your best pitchers for if you're not letting them win for you.

It's not so much a cutting pattern as a rolling pattern. The shapes and shadows are a product of rolling the grass to be leaning in a different direction.
