  1. Looking forward to seeing that Alonso kid.
  2. Biggest out of the year by Wilson there. I assume he doesn't have to come back out and pitch to a few more batters in the ninth.
  3. [FIMG=500]https://vip.nypost.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2020/02/dellin-betances.jpg?quality=90&strip=all[/FIMG] MET #: 1,094 PLAYER:: Dellin Betances DATE: July 25, 2020 SITUATION: Entering in the top of the eighth looking to hold a 2-1 lead. RESULT: Got two outs, including one on a strikeout, but also gave up two hits and exited with runners on first on third before getting bailed out by Justin Wilson.
  4. Well, hats off to Minter, I guess.
  5. Way behind that nonsense, Brandon.
  6. I'd have pinch-run for him on first, second, or third. Camargo should have gotten the lead runner instead of trying for the DP.
  7. See if they pinch-run for the Buff.
  8. Familia got his cheekbones back.
  9. Hey, Matzie! https://sayingimages.com/wp-content/uploads/rambo-thumbs-up-meme.jpg>
  10. Lefties getting it done against the lefty.
  11. That was a legit HbP, but Brandon has to at least pretend to be trying to dodge the ball.
  12. Mets chasing a lot of shit out of the strike zone. And this was true yesterday and during the exhibitions too. But HEY! Dubble by Conforto!
  13. Got to hand it to Matz. He may not have climbed up to #2 starter, but he got there by outlasting Harvey, Syndergaard, Wheeler, and Stroman. Bartolo, too!
  14. I was exercising yesterday and I felt something I hadn't remembered feeling in a long time. And I thought, "Good God ... is this an ... adrenaline rush?"
  15. It's black and white with Ceets. If you don't agree with him, he'll tell you what you actually believe. And it ain't gonna be pretty. Please don't presume to have a nuanced thought for yourself. That's just a waste of mental energy. Ceets sees all. Ceets knows all. He knows you far better than you do. It's an incredible burden he bears and we're lucky to have him among us.
  16. Benjamin Grimm wrote: An intentional walk would accomplish the same thing, without the threat of a wild pitch or an ejection. Or a magic walk, to ameliorate the effect of a magic double.
  17. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: In other news the Phillies lost (to Miami). So not a bad start I suppose this could be one of those cyclical years that the Miami talent all blooms after a selloff a few seasons prior.
  18. If you want to climb the charts this season, you had better do it quickly. 20. =batmagadanleadoff post_id=41570 time=1595641377 user_id=68]I'm beginning to think that the Mets are, for the most part, made up of scumbag redneck Republicans. If I was a major leaguer, I'd kneel for the whole national anthem. If I was later asked why, I'd say that I'd knelt in support of the BLM movement, but mostly to defy and irritate our scumbag vile president, who's against athletes kneeling.
  21. Indeed, they had semi convincing crowd noise. I'm not sure if it was pumped into the park or just over the air. I suspect the former, though. I have my quibbles, but Rojas passed his first test with me by batting Canó sixth, and passed another big one later by lifting him for defense.
  22. If you told me there'd be a scoreless save by Diaz, I'd've taken it and given you a generous tip!
