1. Poor Brandon.

[fimg=500]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EvgJ-T3XIAEy7_v?format=jpg&name=900x900[/fimg] I don't have time to flip through the media guide and compare official weight listings, but that young man has been drinking some really special milkshakes. In fact, he looks like he's about to drink Lindor's milkshake right there, and Lindor knows it.
3. I don't want to make too much judgment based on a very cold night, but it'd be interesting to see if Davis is in today's lineup. Also, I'm disturbed to see Susannah and Michael on one side of the barrier and the Petersons on the other.
4. Anybody catch Willians Astudillo taking the mound against the Angels? A reminder of baseball's roots as a leisure sport. Bugs Bunny action below:
5. Played a supporting role (dressed in 1986 piping) in the Oscar-nominated short-subject documentary Our Ass Is in the Jackpot.
6. An important part of every Mets library. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51-KFdia8JL._SX350_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg>
7. Nah, wishful thinking by me. Rizzo juggled the ball because Lindor tapped his hand. Hard to say about a guy whose homerun provided the only run for the team, but J.D. had a pretty crapulent night.
8. Well, there goes my winning streak. I was thinking they actually didn't make the play at first.

10. Two guys on, and if J.D. could have restrained himself a little bit more, it might've been three. Good to have two guys with good eyes coming up.
11. J.D. chased the same garbage twice.

13. That's the stuff, Mc.
14. Take a strike, McNoodle.
15. Every couple of innings, MLB.tv comes back from a commercial break and sends me into a highlight reel of memories and forgets to return to the game. I have to click to another game and back before I realize that I've missed a batter or two.
16. Alonso is a goaltender tonight.
17. Sorry to see Nimmitz go down, but I have to salute Chafin's Rod Beck/Rich Gossage Fu Manchu. There's a man who understands his role.
18. Getting some pitches to hit here, but not getting it done. Nimmstein was about to strike, but they're sending a lefty in to get him. Put your money on an HbP.
19. And now one of our runners beats a bumpy throw.
20. Frayed Knot wrote: If Alonso had bigger shoes this game might be tied. Right? A few days after the game where almost nothing whatsoever got put in play, this whole game seems to be swung by three or four stretches and picks by Alonso.
21. Chad ochoseis wrote: I was back in my laundry room. What did he do to get himself tossed? The whole bench was working the home plate ump over the strike zone.
22. Is the Cubs organist actually playing "Rainy Day Women #12 and 35"?
23. Hard for an ump to know who to eject. WIN THIS ONE FOR JAUSS!!
