  1. First pitch to Smith, I'm thinking, "He's just seeing the ball better." Second pitch to Smith, I'm thinking, "That ball's gonna get out of here."
  2. Me neither, but hey, all-time Mets http://dailystache.net/throwback-thursday-jose-reyes-gets-in-a-fight-with-keith-hernandez/squaring off!
  3. As if today could get any better. 4. Well, that's a contender.
  5. Kris Bryant: No years. Eduardo Escobar: No years and playing for last-place team. José Ramirez: No years and playing for a second-place team, but one that may fade enough by the end of the month. My guess is that they'll get somebody who's more of a consistent hitter than an outstanding hitter, who can play a bunch of positions. Or two guys like that, the lesser of whom will be Asdrubal Cabrera. Depth moves.
  6. Dom Smith, dressing for the weather on July 3. https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2021/07/screen-shot-2021-07-03-at-5.49.58-pm.png>

  8. Well, this is getting unsteady.
  9. That's about as definitive a Yankee Stadium Special as there can be. Judge may have done Luis Rojas a favor. Now he can pull Walker without controversy.
  10. I can think of one call on a ball at the knees that Culbreath has blown. After that crew in Atlanta, that's something.
  11. There are just gaps in this Yankee defense we haven't been seeing against NL East teams.
  12. Three runs! And they didn't even wait until the seventh to start.
  13. Man, I take back anything I ever said about Jorge Posada.
  14. Take a strook with the bases loaded, McCann. There's a lot out there to gain, but much to lose also.
  15. Man, Aaron Boone looked like he was trying to pass a porcupine when he went out to pull his pitcher. Things are not loosey-goosey in Yankeeland. You're only down 1-0, guys.
  16. Dom Smiff, American hero.
  17. Lefthanded Mets batters can bunt to either side against this Yankee triangle defense
  18. Brett Gardner is down on his LUCK! His ball hit Pillar's glove and it STUCK! His favorite actor is Alan RUCK!
  19. Scoreless tie and runners on second and third and the Yankees are playing in? Don't matter. Alonso is struck out.
  20. Two hits and two on in the third. Man this outfield looks tiny.
