  2. Lindor: PO-5, PO-8, K, K, K 0-for-16 in the series
  3. Eh, keeping the GiDP in play wasn't important anyway.
  4. Eh, keeping the GiDP in play wasn't important anyway.
  5. Two 3-1 putouts that inning which is nice considering we've messed up our share of those lately.
  6. We hand it to them ... and they're handing it right back. It's last night's game in reverse.
  7. I really wish getting runners on made me more confident of scoring a run or two or three. But it has the opposite effect.
  8. Waited until the 7th to walk their first batter tonight. Didn't wait, however, to get him across the plate.
  9. NYM ABs vs the Philly pen since T. Walker left the game w/one out/one on: FC, IF PO K, IF PO, K K, K, 1B, K LO-5, GO-3, Foul PO 5 1 for 12, 5 fair balls hit, 5 Ks, one ball left the IF (on the ground)
  10. Taylor misses the cutoff man, just as Bader did last night.
  11. Has anyone made contact against a Philly reliever yet? We shouldn't have messed with Taijuan's toe.
  12. A busted toe, if that's what it turns out to be, can be a long term deal for a pitcher, particularly so if it's his push-off leg.
  13. =ashie62 post_id=155528 time=1715896620 user_id=90] I don't know what to make of Baty. The MLB sample size is large enough to come to some conclusions on Brett
  14. =Centerfield post_id=155510 time=1715874749 user_id=65] If they needed Tuesday to be a day game because the teams were traveling all the way to Philadelphia, why is today not a day game when the Mets need to trek to Miami?
  15. There is no scenario under which this game can be seen as a step in any direction except one into oblivion. The first two runs were handed to us, the last three meaningless.
  16. Friday: L, 2 runs (one of which was essentially on diffensive indifference) on 4 hits Saturday: L, 2 hits after getting no hit and shut out for 8-2/3 Sunday: W via miracle comeback Monday: L, an actual lead which should have been bigger due to 1/11 w/RiSP, and then a blown late lead Tuesday: L, shutout, 4 hits, perfect game'd thru five Wednesday: L, no earned runs thru 7, ... some meaningless garbage time hits starting to show up But other than this they're playing quite well.
  17. Keith: "Mets playing their poorest game of the season" I'm not sure it's their poorest one this week!
  18. Oh good, another fucking walk!!!! But at least it didn't load the bases ... oh wait! But at least it wasn't then followed by an error ... oh wait!
  19. On what planet was that 'definitive evidence'? What replay proponents swore would NEVER happen now happens nightly.
  20. It was only just a question of whether getting the first two runners on was going to be followed by GiDP then K or K then GIDP
  21. Considering that a one run deficit is usually an insurmountable hill these days, these tack-on runs we're handing them are essentially meaningless.
  22. Just put 'em on anyway you can. The important part is that you hand them free baserunners.
