I would think Boston getting Jones would make them WS faves, although the pen needs work.

The Red Wings sign Dominik Hasek....sorry wrong sort... ] A source close to Clemens said today that Clemens would not ask to be traded even though his frustration level is through the roof following another rough day for the Astros, who blew a 5-1 lead and lost to the Diamondbacks 7-6 yesterday I feel sorry for him......wanker

I heard Gary say yesterday that a player with a no-trade clause can't be put on waivers.....strange..I think it was Gary although it could have been Steve Phillips. Edit.

I wonder if Jim Duqette will be making any deals today.
  11. metirish
Yes that was very funny,as a team Gary and Keith get better with each game, hell I'm even starting to warm up to Chris Cotter.

I would never count them out as long as John Schuerholz is the GM and Bobby Cox is the coach.

Steve Phillips who gets way too much air time during Sunday night baseball thinks there is no way the A's trade Zito, not even if the Mets include Lastings.

I find Woodward to be ok, I mean he is what he is.
  15. metirish
True, I think one of the kids they got is 26.....not saying he can't make it to the bigs but time might be running out.

Yeah it looks like a pure money deal for the Phillies, Gillick said today that he didn't think they could compete next year, Phillie fans will love to hear that.

Ronnie Belliard to the Cards for Hector Luna.

John Kruk thinks Sheffield should move to first base.

So Oliver got the win today, I didn't know until Gary pointed it out that when a pitcher fails to go 5 innings but leaves with the lead then it's up to the official scorer to say who gets the win, and well he chose Oliver.

Yeah it's an amazin season, to think that last season he had only 16 home runs and this year he should top 40 it's remarkable, the future for this team is exciting.

That's just so funny.....only a yankee fan could think like that. From the Times... ] Abreu has more than $4 million left on his contract this season, he will earn $15 million in 2007 and he has a $16 million option with a $2 million buyout in 2008. He needed to waive a no-trade clause, which he had indicated he would do to play in a major market like New York.
  22. metirish
I'm sure Abreu is just happy to be out of Philly,he's not had a home run in 132 AB's,maybe this gets him going.I read that the yanks will assume all of his contract,so I suppose that means the option.
  23. metirish
Delgado beats the shift for his fourth hit....
  24. metirish
Can there be any doubt now about the Mets MVP?...
  25. metirish
What's Zito like in the post-season?...IIRC he's kinda crap.
