  2. Rockin' Doc wrote: All things considered, I think Glavine made a good call in choosing baseball over hockey.Having been a hockey player, Glavine could come in handy when brawls break out on the field. And he'd be missing his front teeth.
  3. Wright in his own Sportscenter commercial, not bad either.
  4. Giambi on Baseball Tonight talking about how deep the yankees starting pitching is,they can go deep into games....yeah if they are not on the DL maybe....
  5. Will Keith Hernandez be part of the on field celabrations tonight, they are bringing back some previous WS winning teams,I think.
  6. No KTE this season?....
  7. I think they may have missed the boat on not overexposing Wright.....remeind me about Fecesgate..not ringing a bell right now..
  8. Would be even cooler if his last name was Pecker....

He talks about how they were in denial about the health effects of tobacco until his sister became terminally ill with lung cancer, and makes the analogy with global warming in that we'll regret it if wait too long to acknowledge the truth and act. Bingo, that part was just on...it's on Showtime right now.

  11. Interesting to watch and Al Gore seems to have a real passion for the subject and I was surprised to find out that he has a long history of caring about the enviroment. Smart fella is Gore.
  12. Tonight on CW11 ...."2007 METS: YOUR SEASON HAS COME" http://cw11.trb.com/sports/baseball/mets/?track=nav no idea if it's a CW 11 original or a SNY thing...
  13. I mean all I can say is WOW...I can't believe someone actually put time into that,it's well done even....from the author. ] I work in Legal for a hedge fund in Manhattan, so I know how demanding this city can be, and how hard it is to block out the "noise". People boo him at work?
  14. Park sounded cool about going down, said it's best for him to be starting and if called he'll be ready.
  15. His hair is thinnning it looks like, plus he wouldn't move Wright to the two hole....why change it he said.
  16. Does Sele ever pitch or do I just keep missing him, good stuff from Park,I predicted he would be cut...glad to be proved wrong.
  17. Williams sponsor on baseballreference says this about him..... ]The Todd is the type of guy that hits a .38 Special concert before going catfishing at 2am with a cooler full of Stroh's. The Todd is America. He eats at Hardee's. http://www.baseball-reference.com/w/willito02.shtml
  18. Gary had mentioned that Sandy being in camp was something of a favor to his Dad,very cool that Father and Son got to have spring training together,Gary also wondered if Sandy Jr.Had any coaching aspirations and if yes then somewhere in the Mets system would be great.
  19. On the basis of me thinking of him as a total bollox I wouldn't have him on my team, but that's just me....probably he won't pitch until the second week of June...if you are that way inclined then I suppose hold on to him.
  20. I like the pictures myself, although the info Vic provides is of use.
  21. I'm guessing that thing next to her inspired the dress.....
  22. Has Ralph Kiner been interviewed about Rickey for this book? If yes then what did Ralph have to say about Rickey? If no then why not.
  23. John Litner the President of SNYis moving on to head up Comcast,he will be overseeing eight regional sports networks including SNY. Gary hinted the other night about him and Keith as cartoon characters ,here's the scoop. ] The announcers are the stars of a new SNY ad campaign by Ogilvy & Mather, in which the three, transformed into cartoon characters sitting on a sofa, watch their real selves on television. In one, Hernandez raves about his on-air performance, prompting the other two to slap him on the back of his head, which dislodges his mustache to the floor whence it crawls away.
  24. I just don't get the projections for Feliciano,in 03 he pitched 48 innings to a respectable 3.35 ERA and 06 he pitched 60 innings to a sparkling 2.09 ERA,in 04 he only pitched 18 innings,a very small sample size...Pedro will be just fine..

Terrible article in the sense that is mentioned above, and perhaps Reyes reluctance to open up in interviews is because english is his second language and not because he wants a vail of secrecy to surround him.
