  1. Very nice article Dave..well said.
  2. Big spot, eight inning with the bases loaded, two out and down a run,A-Rod at the plate....and he pops it up....love it.
  3. Kay asked Girardi why does such a great athlete like Rodriguez have trouble with pop-ups...Girardi said he thought that was a weakness in his game..Joe went onto say he believed every great player had a weakness, without missing a beat Kay asked him what Jeters weakness in his game was.....but it sounded like Kay thought he had found a player that had no weaknesses in his game...Girardi thought going to his left on grounders was his weakness...Kay is such a smug fucker.
  4. ] “I know a gyro is a Greek sandwich,” So said David DeJesus when asked after the game If he saw the mythical gyro pitch from Matsuzaka. ] “He threw everything today,I saw lot of different stuff when I was up there. I don’t know what to call them.”
  5. Johnny Dickshot wrote: Jeter's got two errors and shown terrible range in tonite's MFYs-Rays game. Elijah Dukes* just hit a laser beam HR and TB leads 5-4 and threatening.oooh, 6-4 On the mound for your TBDRs -- Jae Seo. *-Is that an awesome name or what? Joe Girardi then gave the viewers four reasons why it's tough to play under these conditions.
  6. Ha..I'm certain Gary said that during the game last night.....
  7. John Maine is the only pitcher in MLB history who's last name is a State...I bet Dice-man can't say that.
  8. ]Tom Seaver kept the final ball from each of his 60+ shutouts. WOW...not that he kept his balls but that he had that many shoutouts...
  9. So there are maybe 60+ African Americans in the majors, not a lot ,hardly any are starting pitchers..Willis the only one?....
  10. attgig wrote: would've been interesting if boston didn't go over the top of us by 12 mil and he was wearing a met uni.#2 starter in our rotation? mabe even a #1 but I think he would be the Mets third or fourth starter,Maine will win as many if not ,ore games than Dice.
  11. Prince Fielder fooled me,his Bio said born in Ontario.CA...which I assumed was Canada,it's California.. My list was culled from the 25 man roster so I am sure I missed some, thanks 83.

  13. Derek Lee might want to honor Jackie,or Jacque Jones .
  14. Top stuff by Griffey and Randolph, nice way to pay tribute. I admire the honesty of Milledge, would have been easy to BS right there when asked about Robinson.
  15. I'll be interested to see how Beltran fairs with the voting for this series,in the three games he went 4 for 12,had 6 RBI,had the great throw to home, made a nifty sliding catch to rob Aaron Miles of a hit in the game last night. Beltran drove in the first Mets runs Tuesday and Wednesday night, not a bad series.
  16. For an NL only team that's pretty good, and your pitching isn't terrible by any means, hell if Lilly and Wells keep giving you good starts like they did this week then it's all good. What about Lidge...fantasy owners don't know what to do with him.
  17. Maine - 5 Beltran - 3 Green - 1 Reyes - .5 LoDuca - .5
  18. Should be fun scoring this tonight.
  19. Thought they were fun commercials and nothing to be upset about.
  20. I'm liking Maz in the studio, not sure whats going on in the booth but the guys seem to be trying to hard to be funny...but it's early.
  21. ="Edgy DC"]I'm just sitting down. How'd things go tonight? not good.
  22. Great to see the auld fella early doors.
  23. I love watching a pitcher with a nasty curveball,and Sele's is nasty.
  24. That's a brutal outfield they have, few things are sweeter than seeing LaRussa pissed in the dugout.
